Justice League Ciaran Hinds is Steppenwolf

It looks like the “Justice League” found it’s bad guy as “Game of Thrones” star Ciaran Hinds will play Steppenwolf in DC Films’ upcoming ensemble superhero movie which recently wrapped production, TheWrap has exclusively learned.

Insiders also said that Steppenwolf’s look will be upgraded from his first appearance in the DC Films universe in a deleted scene from “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

Ah, we finally have casting news on Steppenwolf. If they got Hinds to play/voice Steppenwolf, it means he probably won't be just some mindless brute/punching bag for the JL, but a villain with a personality.

I honestly saw him only in Game of Thrones and he's a very good actor. Good screen presence too. No, turns out I saw him Excalibur too, but his role is blink and you will miss it.

I very much liked the idea of Charles Dance as Steppenwolf but this is great casting. Loved Mance Rayder in Thrones.

So someone explain this to me. He needs to wear that ridiculous mo-cap suit like Billy cradrup did in Watchmen, or a normie extra just did that and he is doing the voice? Do mocaps require actors or just a stuntmen/extra does it? Will we see his facial features or just a full-cgi character?

Mostly from what I've seen when you hire a specific actor for a role like with Ciaran they have them wear the suit and dots on the face, and might switch them out for stunts as opposed how they did DD with robin atkins downes providing only the vocal effects while a separate stuntman did the mocap.
