Well that makes two of us. I find him to be a bore in the role. I just see Affleck in a bat suit. He looks less dark and imposing and more mopey and soft.

Have you seen JL yet? Because that's even worse in this one.

I agree and disagree. If you're desperate to see some good Superman (the others are mostly okay, too) then go do it. If you're a film fan who's interested in just how weirdly made this movie is, also go do it.

I'm both of these things. I'm also not spending any money on it so bonus points for me.

God what a cluster****. Seeing it in these days anyway.

Why does RT keep hiding the score?

The RT thing is really weird now. It's opening day and that show has already happened. Where is the score? Curiouser and curiouser.

No but I've seen it in the darn commercials so I'm not surprised. I'm kind of intense when it comes to watching actors portray Batman and the eyes are the most important aspect for me, which Keaton and Bale both excelled at, but Affleck can be so darn inconsistent. One moment he'll have the intense and engaged batman look I'd expect and the next he'd look out of it. I've already seen it in clips of this. I never feel like he truly becomes the character. It feels like he mostly lets the suit do the work instead of actually using it.

After seeing JL, DC has got a looooooong way to go before they can even touch the MCU's success.

...and that statement in itself is the saddest thing of all. :csad:

I don’t say it lightly either. Yes it is sad, it makes me very sad this is the situation these characters are in.

I noticed the same thing about the eyes in BvS, but in JL... I don't want to spoil it, but his performance in the suit (and outside of it to a lesser extent) drops by several notches. Three or four moments had me shaking my head and chuckling in disbelief. He puts as much effort into getting into character now as Clooney did-- but at least Clooney was kinda charming.

So do you guys think the DC films have done anything unrepairable? I can try to forget Batman trying to kill Superman and killing goons. Joker can easily come back with a different look and personality. The way I see it, after Justice League, there's not much reason to not be excited or hopeful about the future DC films. :)

We might still end up with two great cinematic universes.

After JL I honestly think WB is no clearer about what they want to do.

Yep. I'm skipping this.

I cannot believe I would say that about a Justice League movie.

Seeing the reviews, I think I'm going to take a pass on Justice League.

Rob Keyes from ScreenRant just posted this on Twitter:

Not unexpected at all. Anyway, I'm waiting for the new actor reveal. I just hope it's not Andy Serkis.

That would be worrying AND scary.
Let's hope they have clearer (and better) ideas from now on and that they stick to them.

I third still wanting Whedon on Batgirl.
Also not any other way I see that movie getting made otherwise.
