Circumcision - what's the beef? (mature subject)

sex is better for guys who aren't circumcised
How'd it start anyway, every guy is born with it so its not like a defect
how would you know???

When you circumcise someone you cut off nerve endings that connect to the head. This means intact people feel sex more since they possess more nerves in the head of their penis.

sure, but the practice has been around for thousands of years...one of the earliest artifacts found on the site of ancient Sumatra (desert in Syria) is a recipe for beer and the ceremony for the C-job...when your a "man" of 10, not a baby...I don't know..never seen a un-C ...penis...

here's my thought...since it directly affects men, maybe it shoud be an elective thing guys can choose or not choose when they're men...it's kinda like pregnancy; men don't have a uterus, so they cannot make a judgement call on in subject..

We don't need to cut our hair, but we definitely look better if we get it cut as some point in our lives. And sex might be better if it's not cut, but I'll never know the difference, and I'd rather not gross out my girl.

I don't do permanent things like that just for a girl. There are always more girls out there.

I´m uncut, and i think that most people in Europe are.
Circumcision is not that usual here as it is in the States...i think

so because its been around for thousands of years we should still do it
excuse me...didn't they do blood lettings back then too

It should be the parents decision, plain and simple.

They're starting to do them again, because they've found some medical use for it after all.

To equate cutting your hair (which is just hair) and cutting your foreskin (which actually has nerve endings in it) is about the most ridiculous comparison I've ever heard.

Why don't men just cut off their nipples, too? I mean, there's no benefit to it and chicks might like it so, why not give it a shot.

I have yet to hear one convincing reason why cutting skin from any part of your body is good and beneficial, especially from a place that, to men, is probably right up there as the most important part.

No, you're strewing the analogy. It was a reply to say why would you ever cut anything that doesn't need to be. You don't need to cut hair, but you do it for the look. Ditto for foreskin. If nippless chests become vogue someday, then maybe we'll end up cutting those at birth too, who knows. All I know is I'm thankful I DIDN'T have the choice, because I'm pretty sure I'd want that freakish thing off, but man would it be torture to have it done when I can tell the difference.

You guys are just bitter because you have ugly penises.

edited to add - I'm pretty sure I said it in another post, but it's also like not cutting off the umbilical cord. Gross, man.

Think of a penis as an action figure. An UNcircumsized penis is an action figure in mint condition, with the original packaging intact, it's worth 100% or more of price guide value. A circumcised penis is NOT in mint condition, it's original packaging is missing, it's only worth 50% to 75% of price guide value. Sorry, your penises aren't worth as much as ours, and they'll be worth practically nothing if you don't stop playing with them.

But then you never get to have any fun with it.

I hardly think you can liken not cutting an umbilical cord to cutting the foreskin off your penis. If you didn't cut the umbilical cord you would be attacted to your mother for your life

Cutting both ends.

I never released what a big brew haha there is going on about this. In the US, it's still a very common procedure (like 1 out of every 3 births); however in countries like Russia and Germany, the number drops to one in every 2500 roughly. So, what's your opinion? Is it for religious significance or just to fit in?
My son's are not,.. I am.

There could be a Hygiene component,.. and I'm watching out for indication of the rare condition where the Foreskin can't slide back easily,...

I believe that it's an overall good thing to be circumsized.

Then I'm talking about for the mother.

Anerica is notorious for being uptight about sex/nudity (anything relating to sex). This goes far to explain things like homophobia, what we are talking about here, and the porno epidemic which do not appear to be prevalent in other (european) countries

Considering that you can get porn 24 hours a day on the local cable channel in Europe, it's probably worse then it is in America. Nobody talks about it over there, that's all.
