Civil War Civil War Blu-ray/DVD Thread

The unit sale figures from Numbers.com are finally in for the first week for Blu-Rays

Captain America: Civil War 2,010,194 Blu Rays

No DVD numbers but they were 30% of the first week sales as reported by Home Media Magazine - so should be around 850k.

That's a huge number in today's market. Only Star Wars: TFA had a bigger opening week at a massive 3.5m BR (and a total 4m units including DVD)

Ultron was around 1m (but had an unusual Friday release for a truncated 4 day opening week) and didn't hit the 2m BR mark until it's 9th w/e. Deadpool's first week was 1.7m BR and BvS was 1.16m BR (hit 2m in it's 11th week)

This is excellent for CA:CW. I appreciate the movie more after watching it for the 3rd time and it truly is one of the best CBM I've seen. I'll just remove the Airport battle. The rest of the movie is just brilliant. Russo Bros have done an admirable job with this one. :)

Remove the airport battle? Probably because of Spider-Man but that's one of the highlights of the movie. Although I think that the final battle is much superior.

I hated that fight, it ruins the overall experience for me. The rest of the movie played out so great but that fight made the whole thing another cookie cutter, by the numbers affair for me. For me Civil War without the Airport fight is absolutely brilliant.

I can definitely see where you're coming from. I dabbed with a video editor a few months ago and took out some of the talking and excessive jokes and it makes for a much better experience. I'm assuming the pacing is a little better without the fight altogether.

I plan to rewatch a marathon "Road to Civil War" starting from The First Avenger, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, The Avengers, Iron Man 3, The Winter Soldier, Age of Ultron, Ant Man, and finally...Civil War.

Don't know how many days i have to spend to watch this, but i almost exciting that it has 8 films before to fully appreaciate and understand Civil War as one pack set 😁😁😁

Both Iron Man and Cap trilogy and 2 Avengers movie has symbiote relation to each other...
