Who here thinks that a Civil wars movie shold be made?

It was a joke. And no. There isnt a Civil Wars movie right now thats based on the comics.

Oh, I thought you meant that limited skirmish in the 1860's.

Having realized your true meaning, I''m just filled with respect for you.

I'm still not sure I he means the Comic Civil War, or the actual American Civil War.

I mean the comics Civil war. Like the ones with iron man and spiderman and captin america.

hmm...
Maybe a CGI film.
If it were live action, it would be a HUGE undertaking that would have to span many films.

They can just remake Glory with Tobey Maguire, Eric Bana, Hugh Jackman and Wesley Snipes, that'd probably do it!

LOL!!!

Gettysburg
Gods and Generals
Ride with the Devil
Glory

^He's not asking about if there are any good civil war films out there, he's talking about the Marvel Civil War.

Why make a movie about a shock value storyline that while great in premise was written souly to sell comic books and has no creative value or heart?

Not to mention that Spider-Man belongs to Sony as does X-Men to Fox and Daredevil to Fox and Punisher to Artisan. No way any of them save maybe Artisan would lease their characters over to Paramount to make this.

If you want a great Civil War movie watch Glory but after Gods and Generals the threat that the same egomaniacs will make the grossly misconstrued Last Measure is enough of a worry before we see Marvel's **** up on the big screen then.

I'd like to see it get made in comic form first (and they are not doing a stellar job of that). :down

Gods and Generals and Gettysburg, are the two best but sadly there clearly bias for the south.

Not enough people know the background of the story for it to be a big-budget live-action movie. Hell, I started reading it and I don't even know who half the characters are, and I'm a comic fan. I'd have to be an animated straight to DVD film like Ultimate Avengers

would you like a list of the reasons that's a bad idea?
1-It's a bad story.
2-this is yet another crossover proposal & like I say to all crossover proposals, it ain't gonna happen. (Rights issues & so forth.)
3-Civil War isn't even over yet.
4-it would mean seeing Spider-Man's god-awful sidekick suit on a live human being.
5-It's not well known enough to the moviegoing public.
6-it would be an overcrowded, convoluted mess.
7-How can anyone NOT see it as a bad idea?

That pretty much somes it up

8-Most of the major players haven't been introduced on film.
9. Many of them won't & SHOULDN'T be.
