This French game looks influenced by Japanese turn-based RPGs of the past like Lost Odyssey, Shadow Hearts, and The Legend of Dragoon.

This was a great surprise during the showcase. It got considerably better throughout what they showed and I think it will have made it from obscurity to making it on to people’s wishlists just from what they showed, and reception on numerous showcase reactions and forums seems to be very positive. Good luck to them!

Releases April 24.

Looks better every time they show it off.

“Experience the magic of our main theme, Alicia, in this unforgettable orchestral recording session with composer @lorien_testard and vocalist composer Alice Duport-Percier”

New games with wack ass titles like Horizon Zero Dawn and Kingdom Hearts and Metaphor: ReFantazio and Nier / Automata have managed to sell though you could maybe make the case could have sold a little more with better titles.

Yeah the stealth drop of the Oblivion Remaster is a distraction.

Current consensus: 97% / 92 rating

Reviewers seem to be liking it.

Looking to give this a shot as its on game pass no reason not to. Turn based was not really my thing but after BG3 I can see the up sides now plus from what I hear this has some interesting combat mechanics that make it not completely turn based alone.

Congrats to Sandfall! A bunch of former Ubisoft devs forming their own game studio and delivering a critically acclaimed game.

The price tag is good too (costs even less than Oblivion Remastered).

Is that really a bad title? I don’t know; it’s weird as hell but I’ll take that any day over something dull and generic like “Doom” or “For Honor.”

Honestly, yeah. I agreed not wanting something generic, but simplicity can be golden. Doom, Halo, Dark Souls, etc. I feel like the biggest issue is it's way too wordy. I started playing it and I feel like Expedition 33 on it's own would've been perfect.

Downloaded this on Gamepass yesterday and I’ll definitely be getting to it soon once I take a break from Oblvion. This cast! Charlie Cox! Jennifer English (Shadowheart ❤️)! Andy Serkis! I would play pretty much any game with those three.

Bought it on PS5. Love it. Reminds me of playing the late 90s Final Fantasies.

Free on Gamepass so gave it a shot. Wow, surprised at how good and how much I like it not being my usual sort of game. I dont completely "get" all of it but the combat is so much fun and seems like it has tons of options and builds to try out. Its very "French" as the French would say but the plot is intriguing you want to know more and the voice acting is of course top drawer.

Its also stunning to look at, in combat and out, they put everything into this that they had you can tell.
