I have been watching SV for a little while. Out of the girls. Chloe seems to be the only one I see Clark having chemistry with.
Lois and Lana seem like they really don't know him.

Hmm.. gee, I'm not sure.
Tough question!
Chloe/Clark - zippo.
Lois/Clark - Sorry, just not really feeling it romantically. But I am extremely entertained by the two of them together, especially now that I like Lois as a character. Go figger. I like what Lois is able to bring out in Clark. But, they are both HOTHOTHOT (him more than her ) and that does make for sizzling scenes. So I do agree with avid, there is a lot of potential there.
Lana/Clark - D'uh. Enough to make my toes curl. Whether they're fighting or tongue-dancing - their scenes always have a natural spark to them. Granted, they must be very comfortable together after all these years, and that's likely a factor. Although, I think it's also been there from the very first episode.
People don't see the obvious chemistry between Lana and Clark because of their own personal bias.
It surprises me also, since the screen does spark when those two are in a scene together...which is why I can't wait until she finds out and they are back on even ground together again.
And to those who say that Clark and Lois have none...just watch Crimson.
Oh, now THIS thread has potential.
<- pulls up a chair.
I dont see Chloe and Clark having any romantic chemistry, but they do have a great friendship between them that seems to go beyond normal friendship chemistry, however I still see that relationship as very platonic.
I saw oodles of sexual chemistry between Lois and Clark in Crimson, and Lois was privy to Clark's secret, so I'd say the chemistry between those two has great potential.
I can see why people dont see the chemistry between the two characters because of all the angst that goes on between Clark and Lana but the actors have a very special onscreen chemistry, wherein if you could turn the volume down and just watch the way the two connect with each other you'll see something that is very special and rare.
Indeed, this is what it comes down to and why I figured I'd just sit over here in the corner and munch popcorn.Of course, Clark has had great chemistry with just about every girl he's been paired with...

Clark = chemistry
when talking about casting for SV: you HAVE to have chemistry with Clark Kent. It's something that applies to both male and female characters. There HAS to be a connection that goes beyond the dialog, the story and the editing. It's between the actors folks.
That said, and in terms of performances and manufactured chemistry, the way Welling went from nervous Nellie to confident flirt in Crimson speaks more to his abilities as an actor.
That's a good point, Pat, about it being imperative for the characters interacting with Clark to have chemistry with him.
I see tons of chemistry between Clark and Lois. They can really shake it up, from a funny, humorous scene, to some flirty talk, to even some heart-to-hearts. They look really great together, and there's this really great spark between them that goes beyond just their physical compatability. So Tom and Erica really do it for me as Clark and Lois.
Tom and Kristin really sell Clark and Lana too. Lots of chemistry, very consistent, right from day one.
Clark and Chloe have a great friendship vibe, but I've never felt any romantic chemistry there between them.
