I have been watching SV for a little while. Out of the girls. Chloe seems to be the only one I see Clark having chemistry with.

Lois and Lana seem like they really don't know him.

just thought here, but maybe it's because THEY DON'T KNOW HIM

Clark and Lana used to have chemistry but then every scene together became full of melodrama, they never seemed to have any fun together.

Chloe and Clark doesn't roll of the tongue like Lois and Clark.

I dont see Chloe and Clark having any romantic chemistry, but they do have a great friendship between them that seems to go beyond normal friendship chemistry, however I still see that relationship as very platonic.

I saw oodles of sexual chemistry between Lois and Clark in Crimson, and Lois was privy to Clark's secret, so I'd say the chemistry between those two has great potential.

I can see why people dont see the chemistry between the two characters because of all the angst that goes on between Clark and Lana but the actors have a very special onscreen chemistry, wherein if you could turn the volume down and just watch the way the two connect with each other you'll see something that is very special and rare.

Too opinionated.. had to post twice. :D

Hmm.. gee, I'm not sure.

Tough question!

:p

Chloe/Clark - zippo.

Lois/Clark - Sorry, just not really feeling it romantically. But I am extremely entertained by the two of them together, especially now that I like Lois as a character. Go figger. I like what Lois is able to bring out in Clark. But, they are both HOTHOTHOT (him more than her ;)) and that does make for sizzling scenes. So I do agree with avid, there is a lot of potential there.

Lana/Clark - D'uh. Enough to make my toes curl. Whether they're fighting or tongue-dancing - their scenes always have a natural spark to them. Granted, they must be very comfortable together after all these years, and that's likely a factor. Although, I think it's also been there from the very first episode.

I am feeling the Lois/Clark thing romantically, I thought Crimson was terrific and I loved that hint of their future love affair, but Clark/Chloe?

Nope. Don't feel that at all.

I see the chemistry between Lana and Clark and I'm mystified that some people can't... It's like so out there and terrific.

Of course, Clark has had great chemistry with just about every girl he's been paired with...

Clark = chemistry

Chloe is just more friendship, galpal type of stuff rather than romantic..

People don't see the obvious chemistry between Lana and Clark because of their own personal bias.:whatever:

It surprises me also, since the screen does spark when those two are in a scene together...which is why I can't wait until she finds out and they are back on even ground together again.:o

And to those who say that Clark and Lois have none...just watch Crimson.:oldrazz:

I always see it. In every loft scene with the two you see it. Escpecially in Lucy.

You know, if Crazy Tina didn't turn out to be a lesbo, I think she and Clark could've gone the distance. :hyper:

Indeed, this is what it comes down to and why I figured I'd just sit over here in the corner and munch popcorn.

Justin Hartley said it best when talking about casting for SV: you HAVE to have chemistry with Clark Kent. It's something that applies to both male and female characters. There HAS to be a connection that goes beyond the dialog, the story and the editing. It's between the actors folks. Clark doesn't have romantic chemistry with Chloe because he's not supposed to. He doesn't see her that way and never has. But I'd bet dollars to donuts the actors would have no problem creating sizzling chemistry if they played different characters in a different show or film.

Chemistry between Clark and Lana is obvious; the saccharine sweet doe-eyed exchange between both characters during the cemetery scene in the Pilot foreshadowed and mimicked just about every instance of their interaction going forward. Well, every scene that didn't involve one or the other mind-altered in some way, or Lana berating Clark for his secrets and lies or not trusting her. Do they have buckets of chemistry? Absolutely. Am I tired of how it's written? Yup.

Clark and Lois? Well now that's a whole nutha kettle of fish, init? Lois *isn't* Clark's first love, they *didn't* lose their virginity to each other, and he *isn't* in love with her now. The fact that we know their respective futures however makes their interaction in the present day - their chemistry - that much more fun to watch for me. There's an attraction that both characters do their best to ignore, which isn't easy because it's not based in the physical. Both have seen the other stark naked and it didn't change their attitudes towards one another. But the romantic chemistry is still there; it just manifests itself through witty sarcasm and playful mudslinging verses sustained doe-eyed stares and overly sentimental or apologetic dialog.

That said, and in terms of performances and manufactured chemistry, the way Welling went from nervous Nellie to confident flirt in Crimson speaks more to his abilities as an actor. In situations like those, I tend to think chemistry is more of a by product when RedK Clark has his paws up the skirt of his "victims." :p

Couldn't have said it better myself. Though I think it has a lot to do with the fact that Kristin and Tom seem to have a natural chemistry going on that just shows on screen. Sometimes two people just don't have it. And sometimes they do.

The only female on smallville Clark never seems to have chemistry with is Lana. He doesn't seem to have anything in common with Lana. The only reason he orignally liked her, becasue she was the best looking thing in smallville at that point[plus she lived next door].

That's a good point, Pat, about it being imperative for the characters interacting with Clark to have chemistry with him.

I see tons of chemistry between Clark and Lois. They can really shake it up, from a funny, humorous scene, to some flirty talk, to even some heart-to-hearts. They look really great together, and there's this really great spark between them that goes beyond just their physical compatability. So Tom and Erica really do it for me as Clark and Lois.

Tom and Kristin really sell Clark and Lana too. Lots of chemistry, very consistent, right from day one.

Clark and Chloe have a great friendship vibe, but I've never felt any romantic chemistry there between them.
