Not really. It probably costs more to get a license for someone elses song, paying royalties etc than making their own score. They chose it for artistic purposes, not because they were "cheaping out".

Actually, they're probably trying to emulate the 300 trailer which used the Nine Inch Nails song.

Craig Armstrong is doing the music for this movie, just like he did with Letterier's previous Incredible Hulk. It will definitely be orchestral, Armstrong's not the usual rock-band member turned composer like Hans Zimmer, Tyler Bates or Stephen Trask.

That's a good point. Considering how weak the WB's summer line-up is, you'd think they would have put this in the summer, but I guess they couldn't find a decent week for it.

This trailer really shows off Leterrier's visual talents, shame on Marvel for not letting him do his own thing with TIH.


Only thing I am disappointed with is that Pegasus is now black and not white as he is in Greek mythology. Only a minor complaint but the film looks brilliant!

That theatrical trailer is unbelievable. It really looks like this movie is going to be an absolute blast. Definitely a wild and outrageous spectacle worth seeing on the big screen.

This film is gonna be PG-13 so I am sure that it will be able to make more money.

Probably not. Because then they compete with other "similar" male action crowd films like Iron Man 2, Robin Hood, Prince of Persia, The A-Team, Predators. There's absolutely no competition for it in March. It'll have pretty much a whole month to itself.
