Cloverfield Game Incoming!

sounds boring. what would you do? Run from the monster?

This sounds bad...No wonder it's free...Runinng and taking pictures...? Go play Dead Rising....Smashing up the city as an invincible monster? Sounds fun for 5 minutes.

you guys must have read wrong because the fan game was shut down by paramount so they could work on an official game.

Why is this in the MS section?

As for a Cloverfield game, i think itd be real hard to pull of a game thatd be worth playing. But if they went with an Alone in the Dark/Surrvival Horror type feel then it might be decent.

Honestly, how much variety could it have? If they let you play as someone in the military, you're only fighting the mini-monsters and running from the main one. Objectives would most likely be rescuing survivors, same with being a civilian. If you're the monster...You're unstoppable.

Will this be one of the few movie to game games that defy the odds and are actually worth buying and playing? Probably not.

I would buy the official game in a heart beat once it hit stores.

At first, I was thinking that it couldn't translate well to a video game...but, fighting off the smaller parasites in the subway? I'd love to play that.

hell yeah. what if you play as a soldier going around new york helping survivors and killing parasites?

That'd be good, too. Basically, with the right team behind it, it could be damn nice.

The entire game would be fighting off the smaller creatures....and saving people. That's it. And to think people complain about Assassin's Creed being repetitive...

I dunno, they could add different styles of game play to the mix. From using the helicopters, survivors, soldiers and perhaps even, the parasites themselves.

I doubt it'd be as repetitive as Assassin's Creed. I've yet to come across something that's as repetitive as that.

I just don't see this working unless they add a lot to the franchise...Which would, well, go against the movie. Unless they just say the characters never "saw" these creatures in the movie.

I'm very interested in seeing what they've got planned for this game. Hopefully, it won't turn out to be a PoS FPS in which you fight off the parasites with short brief encounters with the monster...like the movie. But, somehow, I get the feeling that that's what we'll get. :down
