Synopsis:
Following a gruesome accident, five friends' idyllic snowboarding expedition to the Jotunheimen mountains takes a turn for the eerie when they are forced to take shelter from a ravaging storm in an abandoned ski lodge.
Empty and silent, the cavernous lodge seems deserted -- but there are secrets here. These secrets are long buried, thought forgotten and very, very dangerous. Before the night is out, those who survive will have discovered the true meaning of terror and looked into the very face of evil.
I saw this last night and found it the best slasher film I have seen in a long time. It did something many don't bother doing these days, it has genuinely likable characters and gives the viewer time to get to like them so that you're invested in what happens to them when the terror hits the fan. The setting is fantastic and lends an eerie atmosphere which is helped by the lack of gore being replaced by a real sense of foreboding and danger. All the performances are good with the characters feeling natural and like regular people, Ingrid Bolsø Berdalin in particular is excellent. I highly recommend it to any jaded fans out there.
Anyone else seen it ?
TRAILER
The film is actually in Norwegian with subs but I chose this trailer to give the general idea of the films vibe.
