In terms of actual auditioning technique, the best advice I can give you is to speak slower than you think you need to, and make sure to hit your verbs and nouns.

I can't really give you advice cause I've never auditioned for any type of acting audition. But from publice speaking I'd say speak loud and clear. Pronounciate and be confident. Good Luck! And also if you don't make it there's always tomorrow

About the eye contact thing, though: careful. Sure, make lots of eye contact during the innitial introduction, but otherwise, don't make them your scene partner.

I'm assuming you'll be auditioned on-camera, so if you're unsure, ask where you should look. In theatre it's slightly above the auditors' heads; on camera, it may be at the reader, if you have one. Be sure to ask.
