Colorado Sells Approx $1 Million of Pot on First Day of Legalization

lol, I'm a Bruce Lee fan and that's the first I've heard that theory.

People with allergies can have reactions to cannabis pollen, but as far as I'm aware that applies to flower pollen in general rather than mj specifically.

lol, I'm a Bruce Lee fan and that's the first I've heard that theory.

I think it was initially suggested by one of his doctors but later debunked.

It causes hives in me and swells my throat to the point where I need a hospital stay. Which honestly surprised me. Like any new drug and or food someone tries I always just suggest being careful. Just in case.

Even if it is just a one in a million chance.

Colorado’s Pot Catch-22

The truth is that the morality of marijuana use cuts in many directions—and does not belong solely to wealthy baby boomers afraid to allow brave new facts to challenge old biases. And the truth in Colorado is that there will not be some grand rush to ingest pot because there cannot by law be such a grand rush. For every earnest veteran standing in line to buy marijuana there are 10 nurses, or accountants, or bus drivers, or other responsible, respectable members of society who cannot use lawful marijuana for fear of losing a job, or an apartment lease, or custody of a child, or some government benefit. This is what happens when a bold state initiative conflicts with stale federal law.

There's still a long way to go.

We may still be discussing this issue in 20 years time, which makes me very sad.

Colorado Sales Reach $5 Million in First Week

Colorado marijuana dispensaries made huge sales in the first week of legal recreational marijuana.

Owners of the 37 new dispensaries around the state reported first week retail sales to The Huffington Post that, when added together, were roughly $5 million.

That's a lot of green for Colorado's legal weed.

Colorado, the first state to allow retail recreational marijuana sales to adults age 21 and older, has projected nearly $600 million in combined wholesale and retail marijuana sales annually. The state, which expects to collect nearly $70 million in tax revenue from pot sales this year, won't have its first official glimpse at sales figures until Feb. 20, when businesses are required to file January tax reports, according to Julie Postlethwait of the state Marijuana Enforcement Division.

Hahaha, Jon Stewart covering Bill O'Reilly's anti-marijuana stance.

O'Reilly's point is idiotic. It's cool if one feels that way about weed(I think it's a fair argument), but if you think weed should be banned because of the dangers it presents then you probably should also be on the ban cigarette and alcohol bandwagon as well, infact you should want to ban those more since they present even bigger dangers.
