The Jason Statham bits in Spy are pee-your-pants funny. I've watched them over and over and laughed every time.

Give me a couple of minutes and I'll find the clip on Youtube and post it. Believe it or not trudging across the battlefield was more tiring than it looks ( mostly because I had to do it at least 20 times, and the costume was hot !)

    Okay in this clip

Have a look at 3:26 centre frame, there's a dwarf soldier in the background carrying a shield and an axe, trudging along. At about 3:35 some of the main
cast fade in. The guy trudging was me, it takes about 6.5-7 seconds for me to cross the screen.

That whole sequence was filmed indoors on a stage, lots of green-screen involved.

OMG, that is incredible - I would have died to be in those movies, even for just 7 seconds. Thanks so much for sharing!

Did I understand correctly that this might be you in that messy scene? If so, awesome!

Thank you for your kind words, autographs are free to friends and family......:DYup that's me ! My one claim to fame. Really, I was just really lucky to be standing nearby when Andy Serkis needed an extra to walk behind Ken Stott.

My other, and less-impressive claims to fame, are standing behind Evangeline Lilly in the line for tea/coffee, and that Richard Armitage nearly tripped on me while filming the bit where he and the dwarves charge the orcs. I'm glad he didn't fall on me, he's quite a big guy.

    Cheers.

My sister is in love with Andy Serkis, like, madly in love. When I told her about this, she told me to tell you that she needs to get in contact with Mr. Serkis urgently so she can ask him to marry her.

For my part - you stood behind Evangeline Lilly?? I would die to be you, buddy. I think I would simply have a heart-attack if I were ever that close to Evangeline.

As I've said many times Andy Serkis was incredibly nice to everyone even lowly extras like myself. When he was explaining how he wanted me to trudge and how long it had to take he was very polite and pleasant. When we finished for the day he thanked everyone, even on a day where we just sat around because they were behind schedule. Mind you he likely wouldnt remember me as there were plenty of extras and stunt guys, and also I was wearing a ton of make up, and a wig, beard and prosthetic forehead and nose - one day I was sitting in a make up chair and looking at continuity photos on the wall. One of them looked a bit familiar. It took me about 10 minutes to work out that it was ME, with the make up, wig etc. on. So if ever I do run into Mr Serkis, he wouldn't recognise me anyway.

Evangeline Lily looked very cute as an elf, in real life just like the film. She was really tiny though. Whereas most the elves are over 6 foot ( at least the extras) she was around 5'5" at most. There was an unwritten rule that in the cafeteria you didn't talk bug the stars, you just let them get on with eating lunch/breakfast etc.
So of course I didn't say anything to her. I guess she seemed nice enough, and waited in line like everyone else.

There are probably plenty of people down here with better celebrity stories than mine...like the guys who went fishing with Michael Keaton a couple of years ago.

    The Polar Express.

Not one of the better movies I've watched, but everytime I feel stress, I watch it. Incredibly comfortable

For a comfort film, it's not the quality of the film that matters, it's the warmth & relaxation it brings, often it's a personal fave because of the good place it takes you too due to nostalgia, the memory it evokes or the joy it brings, being a certified 'classic' does not matter, personal taste is human and self developed and it can be anything, if it makes one feel happier and more at ease in the time it takes to watch it, then its done it's job.

Right, yes. That was my main point when I created the topic about comfort movies. Is not about quality, but those films that are close to you in some way and they are a good place to come back to from time to time just to feel better for whatever reason one may have.

Forgot to mention Meet The Robinsons

I missed these kind of animated movies so much. The animation is so unique as well as the direction.

How could I forget The Amazing Spider-Man 2? Definitely a comfort movie. Also, Big Hero 6 is too.

I swear I've seen TASM 2 over 100 times because it played on Starz so much.

I always felt sorry for Max in that movie. Everyone was so mean to him.

But the Electro fight at the end was probably one of my favorite CBM fight scenes. Great sfx and music.

Every Batman movie for me is very watchable. Even the bad ones.

The original. I haven't seen the latest one yet.

    You're better off ignoring it.
