Why are Batman, Martian Manhunter and Flash missing in that Alex Ross drawing???

Because you don't know the characters or you can't recognize them in these drawings (kick on Ross)..?

More likely it's the fact that a good half of the characters in KC were made up specifically for that series, and even the established heroes had major costume changes.

Flash is the blurry guy standing next to GL. Batman is in the third panel in that series (those are only the first two). And J'onn had suffered a mental breakdown in that series, and was no longer able to use his powers in any significant way, so he's not featured.
