Comic stories that you liked at the time but don't much care for now.

Anything with Spider-man during the early 90's.

The 2006 Doc Samson miniseries. I mean... yikes.

Marvel vs. DC. Just ill-conceived & poorly written.

onslaught

and alot of ultimate spiderman if not really all of it bar a couple of trades.

i started trying to read age of apocalypse and 2 massive trades in, i've kinda lost interest. Knowing it's all going to be resolved makes reading massive stories like that a lil bit boring.

hmm i guess this is the better thread for what i had mentioned before
(1)Days of future past- loved it when it came out but afterwards every x-men story dealt with them trying to avoid it.
(2)Crisis on infinite earths- loved it, the art everything when it first came out.it was really the 1st an A lister like the Flash kicked the bucket for me and it downsized all the parallel earths. then all the earths came back and Barry Allen has shown up so much that it didn't even seem like had he croaked.
(3)The Tower of Babel storyline- It was cool that Bats being only human had backup plans for how to take down all his superhero compatriots.I loved it. Then it turned into Bats being so paranoid he created Omac and then at the end all it did for me was to make Batman a bigger @$$#@*^@ , then he already was in the comic and able to beat up anybody.

It was all a popularity contest. I can see Superman beating Hulk but NOT in a straight-up, toe to-toe, trading punches kind of fight.

Oh-and all those damn Marvel/DC crossovers that came out between '96 & 97! Many of them influenced by the debacle that was Marvel vs. DC. A crossover is supposed to be an event; a rare collaboration between the two companies that we look forward to. Not a weekly occurance!

Spider-man-McFarlane-01-00.jpg

Pretty much anything by McFarlane, but especially "Torment".
Oh-and "Heroes Reborn", & anything by Liefeld.

^ I SO got sick of Carnage. Talk about overexposure. He was like the Miley Cyrus of 90s Spider-man titles.

As far as comics I used to like but now don't I'd have to say Young Justice. I remember really enjoying them way back when but I've been pulling some to read while I'm on the can and I've having a hard time finding what I enjoyed.

Same goes with the Linda Danvers Supergirl. The whole Earth-born angel crap was just bleh.

Finally What If? The Punisher kills the Marvel universe. What a load of crapola.

No, VENOM was Miley Cyrus. Carnage was the Jonas Brothers.
(I'm ashamed that I know who these people are.)

Spawn and everything to do with Spawn... It was the late 90's and i was young.
Couldnt really care less about it now.

Spawn. I never really got into it, apart from the HBO series. The comic never made sense & I actually tried to get into it. Why so many people are so in awe of McFarlane is truly lost on me.

Agreed. He killed UO.

I just searched through my stash and found JLA: Another Nail.

Still trying to figure out what I liked about it.

Aztek the Ultimate Man.

I recently got the trade from my buddy (he gives away some of his old trades a gifts at x mas) and wow is it bad. Back in 97 it was pretty decent but now it reads like a-s-s. Seems like they tried to cram 25-30 issues worth of things into 10 and it suffers from "you know who wrote what" syndrome.

I collected the first few issues of Anarky. I have no frikkin idea why.
