I think this warrants its own thread, as most commercials I've seen only portray the Decpeticons and the human's attempts to fight back, but only quick glimpses of the Autobots. I don't really care for how they're making this out to be another War of the Worlds when it's supposed to be the Autobots and the Decepticons battling it out with us in the middle.

SOME HAVE COME TO HELP US.

MOST HAVE COME TO DESTROY US.

Or some line like that. So, yeah- it's us in the middle.

Why most?

EVERY electronic equipment comes from Megatron! Megs was backward engineered.

They are portraying not only us humans but the autobots as the big underdog here, fighting an almost impossible battle. Evil knows no bounds, as they say. I hope they touch upon the Megs/Starscream relationship to show that being a baddie it is every man for himself.

Knowledge is power!

I agree. They are making out the Decepticons AND Autobots as mechanical monsters. Screw the here to destroy and here to protect blurb...its the visuals that make a statement. It will make audiences think that these robots are just here to make a big mess and that the humans are the good guys. When they actually go and watch the movie they may be delightfully surprised but...they may also expecting a War of the Worlds type movie where ALL of the aliens are defeated by the humans. After all...it DOES have Spielberg's name attached.

Well, with the relationship between Sam and Bumblebee I highly doubt that- unless, you think Sam is a troubled kid liking villains, lol. So, no- they'll know.

If not, well- we'll be stuck with the symbiote is Venom scenario until the film is released. But, at least we'll be free from a misconception- lol, I still get people calling everything to do with the symbiote Venom.

You can't trust the commercials. The ones i've been seeing on the Cartoon network still show the 'old' design for Megatron on the Lunchables...

In the clip where the screenwriters discuss TF, I believe they say the Megatron/Starscream relationship will be in the movie.

^^^

That's cool, it would give the movie more robo-drama, exactly what every fanboy here (as I suppose) would like to see
