Computer attacked...I really need to buy a popup blocker...

Just 8 minutes or so ago I came to this forum to see what's up, all of a sudden a popup comes up. (no suprise) I exit it out then another comes (that's never happened before) then I go to click the X and then another and another comes and I swear they were coming so rapidly. And that task bar on my screen was filled so big with them all. It kept coming for about 6 minutes. They wouldn't exit it out. I got a few of them at the end and then just exited out of the internet and the rest dissapeared on my task bar.

I need a blocker.

Does this mean I just got a virus in my computer?

Download Lavasoft Adaware and CCleaner. Then get a popup blocker.

User Firefox instead of IE...

Get AdAware or Spybot for free...

Run those scans

Update and scan your machine for viruses.

It sometimes happens to me.When you go to a less than qualified website or such,you constantly get pop ups appearing on your computer.From what i know,they might pop up even if you have good software.Its a new or different type of pop up a "pop down" advertisement.
