Okay.

Connor Hawk,.. The Guy LEAST Likely to become a Man**** Has Impressed a female single mom archer who was evil into MAYBE becoming a force for good,.... And Has bathed in Dragons Blood which Appears:

To make you Fast enough to dodge arrows at close range,

To make you Durable enough to talk smack while being beat on by a good martial artist,

To make you Strong enough to hold your own and beat on said same martial artist ,.. until he bathes in the blood too.

I HOPE DC runs with this and makes Conner an understated "Super Bowman" with enhanced strength, speed and durability.

If the effect is permanent, I don't know much I would like it. It would be cool in some ways, don't get me wrong, but in other ways it would be...something to get used to.

Connor was fast enough to dodge arrows at close range even before. He was one of the best martial artists, even before. He was strong enough to hold his own against Lady Shiva. He doesn't need to be mystically powered in order to be powerful. He's beaten dozens upon dozens of metahumans before at their own game, just on his own powers.

Characters getting power boosts is cool, but missing the point. Characters become awesome characters just by being awesome characters, not by all of a sudden moving mountains and the whatnot.

I hope it's not permanent, but I'll deal if it is. Winick hasn't brought it up at all in his series that Connor just recently came back to as of the last issue, so...who knows.

There wassnt really any time in the last issue of Green Arrow to bring up that Robert is safe(ohh and he knows about him), eddie got tosted but is ok and that connor now has a bit of powers..

atmost i hope he got to Deathstroke levels.. enhanced but not super..

I just want him to be able to fall back on those abilities as a "bottom line".

Sort of like if push comes to shove he'll put down the bow and be able to survive a much more powerful meta.

Kebab has the right idea,.. "deathstroke levels" would definetly work for me,...

Deathstroke is way overrated. Connor's skills should be above his already, as the Brotherhood of the Fist storyline basically showed.

Bumping Connor up to Deathstroke levels would be okay with me. The fact that Winick hasn't mentioned anything about Connor's new powers (if he still has them, since I got a temporary vibe from them like BW) doesn't mean much to me. Winick seems to be biased against Connor. He treats Connor like a useless newb in pretty much every GA story.

Connor is/was just a human.. Dethstroke on the otherhand is enhanced..
he is DCs version of Captain America only bad..

BW said Connor's skills were above Deathstroke's, which I agree with. Like you said, Connor was a normal human, but he was such a good martial artist that he probably could've kept up with Deathstroke for a while. I think Deathstroke would take any normal martial artist short of Cassandra Cain, but people like Connor, Lady Shiva, Richard Dragon, and Bronze Tiger--the absolute best of the best, bar none--ought to be good enough to hold their own against him for a good, long while.

Meh,..
It was temporary,.. otherwise that last issue of Green Arrow woulda had him owning that punk that almost killed him and speedy.

or Winick forgot to talk to people again.. and didn't know..

Maybe the Conner mini takes place after the current GA storyline, say when it switches to GA/BC?

I really wish we would get some more Connor Hawke minis. Dragon's Blood was just a lot of fun, and it was old school without being y'know, too old school. It was just awesome. I'd like the power-up to be temporary though, as I like Connor being a "normal" human.

i bet that wont happen for a long while..
Dragons blood was a really slow seller.. and one of the worst selling miniseries for a while from DC

I'm not counting on it, but I'm hoping for it.

If there were EVER an excuse for that last showcase run to effect this character,... this would be it.

JEEZ Just as I wa getting used to him,......

He'll either be back in a few months or he'll be safe from Winick's pen for a good, long time. As a huge fan of the character, either one's good with me.

Connor.

HAWKE.

We're going to spell at least one of his names correctly if it kills him!:cmad:

Oh wait.

I thought the whole point in Green Arrow was that even being a bow slinger he could hold his own in such company as Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, The Flash, etc.....

Heck the only thing that makes him different from Batman is that he's just a brawler with great aim who walks in the light rather then shy from it like Bats.

And since Connor is OQ's son, well he should also be 'normal'.

point is: Green arrow should be human, and not be endowed with super abilities.

Judd Winick disagrees with you. He's made Ollie even more superhumanly badass at martial arts than Connor. :o

Liar you LIE.

Thus, the inevitable outcome that some DC heroes are NO LONGER identifiable to the public.
