Connie Nielsen IS Hippolyta

This was my interpretation of things

 

It's left ambiguous.

 

Connie Nielsen was very good as Hippolyta. She stood out more in my 2nd watch. I'll say her accent bothered me the first time around but it felt more natural this time. She did excellent as the concerned and regal mother figure. She was stoic yet showed vulnerability for Diana's well being. Would love to see her again after Justice League.

 

I thought that the scene at the boat, when Diana and Steve are leaving, is the moment where she really had a chance to shine in a big way.

Everything else is fine, but I thought she really had an amazing impact in that scene.

 

I felt she commanded, just like a Queen, in nearly every speaking scene she had!

She is awesome as Hippolyta.

But, the way in which Diana was born is not ambiguous. Ares says it in the tower scene. He says how Zeus had a child with the Queen of the Amazon, and not simply left Diana with the Queen.

 

Man o' man, she is truly stunning.

 

I am hoping for a reunion in JL or the sequel. Hippolyta is a big part of WW's supporting cast in my view.

 

That would certainly be ideal & I'd love for that to happen. I'd hate for them to leave Hippolyta and Diana separated for an extended time.
