We Hunted The Mammoth - Andrew Tate’s defenders are out in force after his arrest
The so-called “king of toxic masculinity” sits in a Romanian jail with his brother, detained for thirty days, accused of human trafficking and rape. The crimes Andrew Tate and his accomplices are said to have committed are heinous indeed. According to the authorities, the suspects recruited their

“victims … by misrepresenting their intention to enter into a marriage/cohabitation relationship and the existence of genuine feelings of love (the loverboy method). They were later transported and housed in buildings in Ilfov county where, by exercising acts of physical violence and mental coercion (through intimidation, constant surveillance, control and invoking alleged debts), they were sexually exploited by group members by forcing them [into performing in pornography]. …

With regard to the crime of rape, it was noted that, in March 2022, an injured person was forced, on two different occasions, by a suspect through the exercise of physical violence and psychological pressure to have sexual relations.”

So far, six alleged victims have been identified; there may, of course, be more.

Naturally, he has his defenders, who are out in force today on Twitter and elsewhere—and they aren’t all his wide-eyed teenage fanboys. Conspiracy theorists of various types, some quite prominent in the far-right political milieu, have seized upon the arrest as an example of what happens when someone speaks up against the “globalist elite.” Some of those pooh-poohing the trafficking charges against Tate are the very same people who profess to be concerned about leftist “groomers” and pedophile rings.

Who thinks this crap up?

Michele Bachmann Claims 15-Minute Cities Are Unconstitutional 'Totalitarianism' | Right Wing Watch
“The 15-minute city is a planned city, a planned community where people are allowed to travel by foot 15 minutes from their house,” Bachmann claimed. “So, it’s really a leash, an electronic leash. You see where this QR code comes in on our phones; this contains people to an area that is no more than 15 minutes from home.”
Funny how some look at something as good and yet others are terrified. Crazy.

"Oh no! People are able to get almost anywhere in 15 minutes! That's communism socialism, somethingism that I cannot abide by!"

Where they get the idea pepole would be restricted to only a 15 minute walking radius is probably their idea for keeping the "undesirables" away from the "respectable" people only they got it their ideology all mixed up.

Could it be city planners want to reduce traffic and pollution.

Nah, it's an elaborate Marxist plot.

Anyone remember when obviously nutty people couldn't get elected?

SF Chronicle - The rumors around Bob Lee’s killing were apparently wrong. The damage is already done
Immediate reactions to last week’s killing of Cash App founder Bob Lee were depressingly predictable: people trying to weave a high-profile crime in San Francisco into the growing online opus of the city’s downfall.

As usual, social media fearmongers like Elon Musk claimed it was more evidence that the city is devolving into chaos, and some media outlets like Fox News fanned the flames with click-baity, ratings-driven sensationalized coverage.

Turns out, police believe Lee was killed in the early hours of April 4, by Nima Momeni, a 38-year-old tech entrepreneur, who was his acquaintance.

At a press conference on Thursday, police officials made it clear that Lee’s death had nothing to do with homelessness in the city, which was baseless conjecture peddled by some people online, including entrepreneur David Sacks.
