02/13/2015 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Friday) : A YOUNG GIRL’S ABDUCTION REUNITES JOHN AND JIM CORRIGAN – EMMETT SCANLAN AND MICHAEL JAMES SHAW RETURN

John (Matt Ryan) and Zed (Angélica Celaya) return to New Orleans when Detective Jim Corrigan (guest star Emmett Scanlan) asks for their help in the case of a missing girl. Papa Midnite (guest star Michael James Shaw) takes steps toward exacting his revenge on John. Meanwhile, the truth behind the Rising Darkness comes to light. Harold Perrineau also stars.

The following episode is based on Hellblazer #4

I hope this is the episode we see Jim get shot and meet his maker.

Spectre is coming...'The Spectre created by Jerry Siegel' in the opening credits!

I thought this episode was really creepy. Love the title reference to The Velvet Underground song of the same name. Awesome to see Jim Corrigan return. Gary Lester possessing that corpse was pretty cool. I like Michael James Shaw as Papa Midnite. Wasn't expecting the reveal about Manny at the end. Really hope this show comes back even if at a different network with title change.

I knew something wasn't right about
Manny

I want this show to return next season just to see the Spectre.

Solid finale.
Very glad that there was no cliffhanger.
Now,
We shall see what we shall see .

Really liked the finale. Had no idea it was going to be an adaption of Waiting for the Man, so that was a nice surprise. Really hope we get another season.

i enjoyed tonight's episode very much. honestly, this show has been solid. really do hope NBC renews it or another network picks it up.

Good ep.

Don't let me down, Syfy.

Great episode. I really hope this gets another season.

And so it ends.

Great episode. Dark and atmospheric. It proves what I've been saying a while, if there's to be season 2 on another channel it'll probably be darker and with more balls, like this episode was.

By the way, Ryan really smoked a lot in this one and, for the first time since the show started, genuinely smoked. I guess, since it's the last episode, they decided to do it properly.

I don't know if it was foreshadowing, but it was interesting to hear Constantine mention the lung cancer.

As for
Manny's scheme
I saw it coming long ago.

I really hope this show will survive. C'mon Syfy, I'll never say a word against your sh**ty program if you take "Constantine".

Very good ending hope for a season 2 because I need to see the mother f'in SPECTRE.

I'm still amazed by the amount of Hellblazer dialogue and loose adaptations of Delano's stories that they managed to squeeze into this show.

Was the ending implying that
Manny might be the first of the fallen in this incarnation?

Too bad it doesn't seem like we're ever gonna find out. Godpseed Constantine.

ooh I didn't think of that but I doubt they'd have him be there in a disguises for the entire season and call him "Manny". :funny:

As for season 2 rumours around it might move to SyFy.

How about they leave it on NBC?

The production value is great, Constantine is now smoking and taking heroin... Each episode seems to get darker than the previous ones... seriously, I've got 0 complaints.

Just keep making more and move it to a proper time slot if you want viewership!

SyFy should be our last option as they're super low budget. As somebody else on this forum mentioned "Shows go there to die".

I'm glad Manny is a villain. Never liked the idea of John having an Angel sidekick

The chainsmoking, stealing Midnights stuff and bridge scene was classic Hellblazer.

Ghost Gary!

I don't think he'll be an outright villain. As the actor who play's Manny said he'll be dabbling on both sides of the line. :funny:

Oddly enough, I had him pegged for Nergal

Which can apply to other networks over the last five decades (I.e. Get Smart and Medium from NBC to CBS, all of ABC's TGIF line up to CBS, The Critic from ABC to FOX, Buffy and Roswell from the WB to UPN, I could go on)

What? lol it ended with a cliffhanger.

The midseason finale before the holidays ended with a cliffhsnger, immediate danger that was seconds away from killing John.
Am I the only one who didnt seet the season finale as a cliffhanger?
