He's been banging on about failure and pending cancellation for the last three weeks to where it can be considered trolling. You don't see others doing that over on AOS subforum, do you?
I think if you actually go back and read everything I've posted in this forum, you'll see that the vast majority of my posts on the subject are in reply to someone who had already brought it up.
Basically, you're okay with people constantly posting optimistic spins on the ratings because you agree with that viewpoint. But because I post a realistic and/or pessimistic spin on the ratings, you try to silence me.
Notice how I'm not telling you to shut up or asking you to leave? I'm dissecting your actual arguments, when you do present them, and explaining why I believe them to be incorrect. I might throw a light barb in there but I'm on subject. And rather than confront my objections to your arguments, and then either post a counterpoint or concede, you choose to ignore them post the same arguments in the same fashion. If you don't want me to post my thoughts on the ratings, don't continuously post "good news" that isn't really all that good. Your understanding of how TV ratings work, how networks analyze them, the relative importance of alternate platforms/DVR, and how they all affect the cancellation prospects of a major network television show is not good.
If I seem harsh or one note it's because this is how the ratings discussions go in almost every struggling show. You mentioned AOS? Yes, people do talk about the ratings on that forum. The difference? The circumstances. AOS has been struggling and dropping consistently lately, but:
1. It's a Marvel property airing on ABC. Both are owned by Disney.
2. It's in-universe with their films and other shows, helping to keep awareness up and cross-promote
3. It's not struggling nearly as badly as Constantine is. Constantine is the lowest rated scripted show on network television on its night.
If you want to ignore me, that's just fine with me as well. You've said you were doing so before, yet you still feel the need to respond.
