I waited to see the movie before reading through the entire book. It actually pisses me off that the book contains more stuff that didn't make it into the film than stuff that did

Looking at the images is seems they really did have the GLC come to Earth and assist Hal, or at least they planned on it. Such a waste of potential.

Damn, I may have to pick this up. It does look a bit more interesting than the movie. I hope there's actual footage of all this on the DVD/Blue Ray extras.
