Cool, dark, atmospheric Batman (1989) pic!!!

I had never seen this picture before, until I recently purchased the official movie magazine.

Batman looks really scary and demonic (Kind of reminds me of Demon bats from BB)... plus Keaton's eyes are amazing.

You may have seen it before... and my camera (no scanner at the min) obviously does not do the pic justice... but WOW!

I'm not quite sure what it is... as I said, it's taken from the Official Movie Magazine from the time of the film's release.

I imagine it's simply one of the pictures that was taken on set... by someone documenting the making of the movie.

I just thought it was interesting...

My thoughts exactly...as far as moody, iconic imagery...Burton > Nolan.

I mean seeing Bale in the suit etc is great and all...but all the shots of Keaton unfurling his cape and descending/crashing through the skylight/etc...nothing was more bad ass than that.

Yes they do, I can always tell who is under the cowl. And that side profile, chin, jaw, and lips look nothing like keaton...perhaps a bigger stuntman.

Happily enough I've never wondered that myself since I've never noticed any short stature from Keaton's Batman, which means that stilts or not, it worked on film.
