Costume Change?
Author: Jett
Friday, August 11, 2006 - 9:57 AM CENTRAL TIME: Got this in a few days ago, and after verifying this insider does what he says he does, I decided to post it for all you BOF‘ers --
“Greetings BOF! Love the site!
I thought this bit of news may be of interest to you and your readers. I work in the UK...and would be considered as being part of the ‘crew' [on a film]. What I’ve heard rumoured is that the new Batman costume may be altered a bit. The appearance will not change dramatically, but will be lighter and sleeker than the one in ‘Batman Begins.’ It may also be constructed to look more like heavyweight fabric and armour than rubber. I shall let you know if I hear more.
If you use this, call me '007.'”

Hmm. Interesting. While I loved the BEGINS costume, I could go for a few sublte changes... It looks like Chris Nolan is already lining up his project after THE DARK KNIGHT. According to IESB.NET, Nolan is looking to helm a film based on the classic British TV show THE PRISONER...

"I am not a number, I am a free man!"

Never saw that show but I like the song by Iron Maiden. That would be interesting.

The Batman costume changes sound okay, as long as it's changed for the better. It would suck if they changed Joker's look drastically.

YES!!! This is GREAT NEWS!.

Not that I didn't like the 'Begins' Bat Costume but I consider everything in that movie as prototypes of what to come, including the costumes. This will show the next step for Batman.

Now they can just tweak the Tumbler a little to look a little more like the bat symbol...

:o My thread came first:o

But whatever, I like the sound of the new fabric. Hopefully this pans out to be true:up:

Just note that the source says that it MAY change. I presume they are experimenting with other materials.

Nothing should be considered concrete just yet.....

FYI BmAaTn, Jett has asked that if you post articles from his site to please add a link.

Just watching your back!:)

That sounds amazing man so the costume will be light *coughs* grey *coughs* and it will have a sleeker design more like armour then rubber, Oh hell yea!!!! I already know where they going with this can't wait but with patience the young man shall be satisfyed.

This is in line with my theory. The first suit was a hodge podge of various pieces to construct a prototype Bat costume. Bruce made no real modifications since he was kind of busy with more important issues. Also the movie that featured that suit is essentially Batman year one, so an evolution of the suit would be realistic.

So in this movie now that some time has passed and we assume that he had a little spare time to address his Batsuit, Bruce would have had a chance to critique his creation and begin making modifications to help assist him on his war on crime.

Nothing drastic in appearance but a sleeker look and a more fluid movement would make sense.

by light i think he doesn't mean grey, but i think he means the weight ;)

I always liked the suggestion of minor modfications. I'll be interested to see how this suit turns out.

Agreed, its a logical step:up:

I hope this means they won't be shy about showing Batman when he's fighting.

Also, maybe this means the cape won't darker than the rest of the costume.

I guess it makes sense that, after using a military prototype as a costume, Batman goes for something sleekier and more adapted to his agility. I´m cool with the BB costume, but I´d like to see something a little more Spider-Man-like.

whatever it turns out like..man the anticipation of seeing it is going to be awesome..like last time!

BRING IT ON!!!!

Hubba, hubba..........no rubbah.
Good news.
