Could a Harry Potter 8 work?

Considering how the Harry Potter series ended, could a Part 8 work? I mean no one thought that there would be a Star Wars Episode 7 much less that The Force Awakens would ever be made but it has and with Harry Potter the Harry Potter series if they were to come out with a Part 8 an eighth book of course would have to be made now wouldn't it? I don't think J.K. Rowling would go there unless fans really wanted it but even so I don't see how the series could continue unless they were to continue it with the next generation with Harry & Ginny's children and there ends up being a new villain to carry on the franchise since Lord Voldemort is dead

I think so. We've seen him grow up and how the events of his 7 years at Hogwarts has shaped him, so it would be cool to see what happens afterwards. Even with Voldemort gone, there will still be danger out there.

Also, WB has 'Fantastic Beasts' going on so I don't think they need to continue with Potter's story.

They made an 8th Harry Potter film by splitting the seventh book to two films.
I will say it did happen, not the way you are thinking, but it did happen.

Yeah and honestly I'd rather they go this direction than continue on with Harry's story. It's a big universe with lots of stories to be told.
