According to Ebony Maw, no other being has ever wielded more than one Infinity Stone at a time, but is it possible that he's simply misinformed about that?

Twice we've seen an Infinity Gauntlet "replica" in Odin's treasure vault, but given that Thanos only recently had the Infinity Gauntlet made, Odin having a replica of that gauntlet doesn't make sense. Nevermind the fact that it's a right-handed gauntlet, not a left-handed one, like Thanos's. So why would Odin have a replica of something that's never existed before in the past? And how does Hela recognize something that she's never seen before as a fake?

So is it possible that, at one point, Bor had his own Infinity Gauntlet made by the dwarves of Nidavellir in the distant past, collected the Infinity Stones, and wielded their power? If that's true, it'd explain a number of things:

1) It'd explain why Thanos knows so much about the Infinity Stones and what they can do, including that they can accomplish his goal with just a snap of his fingers, as he'd be operating on past knowledge about them that he uncovered (I.E. Witness accounts of someone wielding their full power). It'd also explain how he knew that the dwarves of Nidavellir could do the job of making a device which could handle the Infinity Stones, because they'd done it before.

2) It'd explain why Odin has a replica. The replica isn't of Thanos's gauntlet, but of Bor's gauntlet. Hela recognizes it because she's aware of Asgard's true history, including the fact that Asgard was once in possession of an Infinity Gauntlet (And as we saw in Ragnarok, Odin was in the habit of covering up Asgard's true history).

3) It'd explain why the Infinity Stones were all hidden away. Somebody went to the trouble of hiding them all, and we know for a fact that the Asgardian's hid at least one (the Tesseract). Maybe the Asgardians converted them into six separate artifacts at first to continue using them, building their various housings around them so that others who were not Bor could use the individual stones (Which would explain why the scepter has a distinctly Asgardian look to it), but realizing the danger of keeping them together (A danger which Volstagg seems particularly concerned with), instead decided to hide them away (With the Dark Elves somehow coming into possession of the Aethyr before the Asgardians can capture it, or possibly recapture it).

My explanation is this. Bor learned of the Infinity Stones, sought them out, and had the dwarves make him his own gauntlet. He then used the stones to fulfill whatever purpose he had in mind for them. Feeling the power was too great to entrust to any one person, he decided to split them up and use them as the basis of six different artifacts, before deciding that the risk of keeping them near each other was too great and opting instead to hide them away. Odin had a replica of the gauntlet made because he had firsthand experience with it, having seen it on his father's hand, and he passed that knowledge on to Hela. That would also explain why Thanos made his move when he did. First he had to ascertain the location of all six stones (Which he didn't do until Nebula tried to kill him. It was only then that he got a clue about where the Soul Stone was), but he also had Odin standing in his way. Odin would've instantly realized what Thanos was up to the moment Thanos made a move, due to his own personal knowledge, and moved to oppose him. But thanks to Odin's death, Thanos was now free to move openly.

So thoughts?

Or it was just an Easter egg at the time and the Hela scene was just a funny way of addressing it.
