"Batman: The Motion Picture Anthology 1989-1997. The Region 2 DVD restores more than a minute of cut footage. Previous cuts included headbutts and various close ups of Two-Face"
What does it mean? That UK release has more minutes of cuted footage than USA release?

There is no "Batman: The Motion Picture Anthology 1989-1997 for UK only for USA. Four SE DVDs sold separately in UK

Yeah the SE's were sold separately over here. But all 4 films are available together in none SE form. Crazy I know, plus Clooneys Batman is on the front... who ever came up with him as the best Batman to sell those on the cover obviously sucks.

That does just mean that, while previous versions of the movie have been cut in the UK, the SE is uncut!

I know, WB UK should have used Michael Keaton or Val Kilmers face then Clooney.

Yeah i agree, or just the classic oval. Anything apart from what we got :p

No.

The UK version was cut in 1995 when released in cinemas. These cuts were kept for the original Region 2 DVD. But in 2005 the cuts were wavered, and the special edition of Forever is uncut.

It is worth noting however that Catwoman putting aerosol cans in a microwave in Shreck's is still cut from UK releases.

Thanks, i've got it!

Why would the UK cut close-ups of Two-Face?

cause pink jam is just too graphic for UK-audiences.

I remember when I bought the first Forever DVD from the UK a few years ago and I got a real shock when I found that severeal shots and lines I remembered from when I was a kid had been cut (I basically can retell the entire movie line by line, shot by shot) When the SE came out, I didn't want to take any chances and bought them here in Norway.

in the uk, there were certain things cut in the movies that were uncut for the USA version. Things like headbuts and creepy images of two-face. They werent actually that creepy, but someone in charge of the UK film ratings thought they were.
