heres how MY trailer would go

-Fade into a shot over Gotham City at night. Were staring at a sky scrapper-

-Pan up to lok towards of the building-

-a man in a black suit with a black cape jumps off, slow motion kicks in-

-He plummets downwards-whips out a grapling gun

-turns around-back to street-front towards us-he shoots the graple up-it whizzes past the camera-It latches onto a statue-

-cool shot of batman swinging ala Spider-man down in arc above us as the music keys up-

-bruce wakes up in asweat at night-

-A shot of Alfred-he says" It has begun"-music begins

-Shot of the W.B. Logo

-Shot of the legendary logo

-Shot of the D.C. comics logo

-We see Bruces face whole, then he puts on the Batman mask

-Were in a room at night-Batmans in their looking at something-

-3 men enter the door-"Its The Batman!"

-Batman turns to them. "Hi Fellas". The men charge-Batman assumes fighting position

-Batman ducks a punch-trips one-

-OUTSIDE at night, near a burning building-Batman KICKS guy in the chest

-Back in the room, Batman rolls over a guys back, kicking someone in the face as he lands

-The man crashes into a wall

-Batman LEAPS onto the top of a ledge, the dark sky in the backround

-Bruce (voiceover)-"All my life"

-The Batmobile ROARS in mid air out of the batcave

-A building EXPLODES-we watch in front

-2 black boots plant down in the screen infront of the explosion

-Bruce (voiceover)"I have fought a war"

-We see a shot of a small, fat man-the penguin.

-Batman-"What are you?"

-Penguin shoots a magnum pistol at something

-Bruce (voiceover)"against the demons"

-Bruce sniffs something. "Whats that smell?"

-Were on the freeway MOVING veyr fast, faving the back of a truck. we see a THUG jumps off-

-Bruce (voiceover) "inside of me".

-were on a rooftop at night-THE JOKER-classic-smniling-WALKS TOWARDS THE SCREEN.he says "The Batman"

-Batman turns his head to look at the camera on the same roof.

-Joker keeps walking. "We meet at last".

-A green gas flows through a room-

-Bruce is in the batcave at his computer-"Jokers got some sort of gas"-

-We see people choking-

-Alfred-in the cave-asks-"does he have more?"

-We see Joker in a huge factory-making it-

-in the cave, Bruce says "A lot more".

-Batmans in the middle of a roof-alone-

-doors bust open-penguin and jokers thugs-50 of enm-race at batman

-Batman rallys-punches-kicks-before FINALLY grapling up and swinging in a circle taking out dozens

-Harvey dent walks toewards the camera, sneering.

-Dent says "They will pay".

-Rachel is at a trail, speaking. "What he did was WRONG".

-Batman is running with Rachel-he yells "come on!"

-The batmobile does a 180 on the FREEWAY-

-Batman-on a batmotorcycle-weaves in and out AGINST traffic on the FREEWAY

-Bruce and Lucious Fox walk through a room-fox says "Ive got something to show you"

-shot of bruce infront of a little PLANE-"It flys?"

-The batwing prowls around the sky-

-Dent, Gordon, and Rachel are together. Gordon-"Jokers gonna attack the city-We need him". Dent-"who?"

-The BAT-SIGNAL illuminates the sky

-In slow-mo- Batman SPRINTS and DIVES off a roof into an alley-walls on each side looking up at him-we catch up in FULL SPPED as he grapple sand swing down and up and a HUGE arc-a human swing.

-Different shot loking down at an angle of the building blowing up-fire erupting

-Batman kicks off a wall and with his other leg, kicks someone in the face

-on the freeway, The Batmobile whizzes by us as we turn with it to see it blazing

-The BATWING soars over the city-

-Bruce (voiceover) "What happens if I fail".

-shot of Alfred-"Then he. Will win".

-Rachel looks at Bruce. "The city needs you".

-Bruce looks off screen at something

-they hug

-Batman BACKFLIPS off a roodtop-


-Batman falls, crashing down onto the hood of a moving car-

-Rachel aims a gun off scren

-an 18 wheeler on the freeway EXPLODES

-a helicopter flys UNDER an overpass on the freeway

-batman leaps off an 18 wheeler

-a helicopters LEG crushes a car roof causing it FLIP OVER in slow-mo

-Batman sprints on a roof

-Batman rolls around

-Bruce (voiceover)-What if I could defeat those demons?

-A car flips and barrel rolls in mid air on the freeway

-a crowd on the street CHEERS

-Shot on behind Batman as he dives off a sky scrapper

-Bruce (voiceover)-Is it worth fighting for?

-shot under batman, as he turns to see a thug flying at him having jumped off a building

-Men tackle Batman down

-Gordon looks up. Alfred turns to us.

-Bruce (voiceover)Is that worth dying for?

-Rachel looks past the camera. Lucious Fox looks up.

-Batman BREAKS FREE of the dozen men holding him

-an explosion sends batman flying INTO the camera as we cut to the huge BATLOGO

-The words THE DARK KNIGHT shine through it-

-Joker Laughs at the camera

-he says "Make them hurt".

-Batman gluides through the air in his caped wings

-Joker says "All of them"

-An explosion fills a room and hits the camera

we cut to

I want the teaser to just show Gordon and Harvey at the scene of a crime, then Gordon takes Harvey to the rooftop of police HQ saying "I'd like you to meet someone". They get there, then Batman shows up and the logo/release date appears. Simple, yet effective.

 

[Mr. Superhero]

- Fade to Gotham City nightly overview.

- Batman stands on a building ledge - wind blowing cape.

- Screen dramatically shoots black.

- Joker's laugh is heard.

- Gordon : "He isn't a man... he's a psycotic monster."

- Sponsers etc. etc.

- Music kicks in.

- Rachel smoothly rubs her hand against Bruce's face.

- Building explodes.

- Tumbler zooms up the freeway.

- Joker's henchmen blow cops away inside a bank.

- Batman fighting a group of men.

- Rachel being taken away in helicopter.

- Gordon : "Freeze!" - Laughter is heard.

- Bruce sits looking concerned beside the computer. Alfred stands next to him holding a tray. "Master Bruce, I suppose jokes on us..."

- Batman jumps off building. Caped wings activate. The wings fly into the screen causing it to black out.

- Cut to Joker walking into room. Camera to his back. "Harley darling, I told you slit his throat... don't you ever listen?!"

REPORTER Standing Outside Of A New Arkham Asylum

REPORTER: Just two weeks away from its scheduled reopening. Hopes remain high that this newly renovated structure will...cough cough. Excuse me...cough cough. Heh...heh...

The reporter falls to the ground, the camera follows showing her face distorted into a horrible grin, her face now deathly pale.

The camera lifts up once again and we see THE JOKER, his face in the shadows, he wears a large wide brim purple hat and purple suit. With his face still in the shadows we see him tip his hat to the camera.

THE JOKER: Good evening Gotham and Gothamites everywhere. Thought I'd take time out of my oh so busy schedule to say hi and deliver some not so vieled threats...so hello, good bye, you're all going to die. HA HA HA HA!

THE JOKER: Sorry, sometimes I just kill me, especially when I am thinking about killing you. But hey, before we get the wholesale destruction of our little terror experience, lets pick out a few favorite heros for a special shout out.

THE JOKER: The Batman, I am looking at you, old boy, and your future looks dim indeed. In fact, if I was a psycic, I'd say that the bell would certainly be tolling for thee tonight at midnight. Oh wait, the hell, I'll say it anyway -- you die at midnight. And then we can all have a good laugh at your expense.

THE JOKER laughs once again, his ghostly white face emerging from the shadows for the first time. He looks at the camera, grins and shoots it with his gun. Screen goes black.

The words The Dark Knight fade in, the Batman Begins symbol behind it. Then it fade out and the date replaces it.

Fade to black.

that was super fantastic Excel, but i would like something more like this. and i hope they don't blow their wad and actually show the Joker, i hope they just show a smile and a shadowed face that can't be made out. that would be AWESOME!!! and over the 5.15.08 i hope all you can hear is a laugh.

Haha, parts remind me of the Episode 1 trailer, and the Matrix Revolutions trailer. Anyways, I re-read the teaser for Batman Begins as inspiration, wanting to show just enough footage to tease us all. The music I want to use in the trailer is used in BB, right after Bruce opens up the chest full of bats and falls to the ground in fear at R'as Al Ghul's lair. If you know what I'm talking about, picture that building music.

Shot of a criminal on his knees, on the brink of tears, pleading.

The Joker's hands shuffle a deck of cards from right hand to left, ridiculously quick.
BATMAN (Cont'd.)
Plotting. He can't be rehabilitated or restrained by any prison sentence.
Angle from behind: The Joker is running his hands through his long, green stringy hair.
BATMAN (Cont'd.)
He's going to keep on killing until there's no one left.
The Joker is walking towards the camera on the moonlit street, wide brim hat, trench coat collar hiding his face...
Black...
Bruce looking intently up at us, out the window...
BATMAN (Cont'd.)
Because this one, he's different from the others: he can't be dismayed.
Close-up on a hand as it strokes the three-note piano medley to open the Batcave passage. Camera rises and reveals Alfred.
Black...
BATMAN (Cont'd.) (music ceases)
And frankly...that terrifies me.
Bruce is standing in front of a window, looking outward. Camera is behind him. He looks toward Alfred. Then he steps off-screen towards Alfred and the batsignal is exposed out the window.

Brief shot of Batman grabbing The Joker by the lepels of his jacket...
Black...COMING SOON...faint laughter in the background.

The last shot of Batman grabbing the Joker I want to be abrupt, a brief moment of loud intensity. Kind of like the Batman trailer where the Tumbler bursts through the stream of water.

i always think it's exciting when there are voices over a dark screen!!
i think the big action movies really blow it when they show all the "dun dun!!! dun dunn!! *villain shooting* *motorcyle chases* *hot sex scene* *hero standing in the wind with ripped shirt*" for the trailer.

I would attached my TDK trailer to spiderman 3 and transformers and indiana jones 4. Here is how my trailer would be

A shot of gotham city from above moving slowly through out the city's night sky scrapers with symphonic opera stylized music playing in the background.

We get a shot of a black cloud up in the sky suddenly a distorted bat-signal appears where the black cloud was at. A very psychotic sinister laugh in the background simular to mark hammil but more sinister sounding and evil with high pitch.

CUT TO:
A tall paled man in a purple trench coat with a big round purple hat smiles and says "Got ya batfreak" aims a rocket launcher at the screen.

CO'NT.
The action and music picks up we get a shot of Batman jumping out of a building and while he's in the air he takes out his bat-grapple and shoots it at a moving helicopter we then get a shot of Batman in a high tech motorcycle with batwings also known as the bat-cycle riding throughout a cemetery that's being blown up by the mad man joker. We get a shot of Batman being upside down he strives downwards and catches two armed men he grabs each of them with one arm and the other man with batman's other arm he quickly goes up, we then get a shot from above of a room of 21 armed mobsters with machines guns and batman glides down and while he's in the air the lights goes off. We then get a shot of the tumbler being blowned up and Batman ejects from the seat as he ejects he throws some explosive powders and batman glides his wings opens like a demon with wings,
We then get a shot of Wayne Tower being completely blown up and we get a shot of the Joker with C4's in his hands smiling and laughing.
