DC Animation Creature Commandos - Animated Series

If Circe is going to be a big bad for WW sometime in the future.....idk if this is how you showcase her.

Yeaaaah.

I don't know a lick about the character but having her lose to Weasel after that display of power was a deliberate choice.

He was definitely in the Nazi killing business and cousin, business was booming!

I don't know what to think of this show. It's not bad, by any means... but it just doesn't do much for me.

I see a lot of comments about how touching GI Robot was, but I didn't felt there was enough to really care about the character, who seemed to me to be nothing more than a “yeah, kill the Nazi” gimmick.
Yet these little origins story, like the Bride's one, are way more appealing to me than the rest: as soon as we returned to the present, I completely dropped the thing... I already didn't remember why Circe was attacking this principality, or what the Commando was doing here... Or where the whole thin is. Anyway....

I still think this is a series that, in the current context, should have been released all at once. I'm not having a bad time, and on the spot I could keep watching another episode.
But a week's break between each of these gives me just enough time to feel how much this isn't a must-see for me.

Will still watch the rest though... :o

EDIT: Just put my finger on it, it's actually a show I watch wondering what could have been done rather than genuinely appreciating it for what it is.

The show is solid, especially after Ep 3.

The online debate about Circi and Weasel is laughable. Some of you guys hyper-fixate on the dumbest ****.
Superman fans think he gets disrespected left and right...put Weasel against Doomsday or Zod or Brainiac and see what the response is.

I like the show well enough, but as mentioned by others, it's not at the level of these co-current adult animation and superhero animation shows, and that's a bit of a disappointment. I also hate the soundtrack. Gunn's taste in music continues to be the furthest thing from mine, but this raunchy polka playlist is the worst one yet. I am looking forward to tomorrow's episode, though. The show is entertaining and easy to watch, that's enough for now.

Yeah, I don’t love this. Art style is all over the place and the plot is dumb. Very derivative of TSS.

As always, Gunn knows how to make characters tick, so regardless of how I feel about everything else, I sort of care about the characters. So I guess I’ll watch the other episodes :)

Thought episode three was a lot stronger than the first two. I agree that this would've made more sense as a binge though.

Yeah, that seems to be the consensus around here. Episode 4 looks promising as well. I'm excited to see more of Circe's vision before we get the new Superman trailer later on today.

What other concurrent superhero animation shows are better?

It's about on par with Invincible, and features slightly better animation.

It's miles better than both X-Men '97 and Batman: Caped Crusader.

I prefer Caped Crusader and '97, the latter is the best one of them all for me. Also, many seem to prefer My Adventures With Superman, but I can't comment on that yet. Oh, Harley Quinn is also superior, and that's the closest one to Creature Commandos, tonally and aesthetically. That doesn't mean that CC is bad, it's just a really strong moment in time for these animated superhero shows. I do like it more than What If.

How is Weasel super fast and super strong but....was weak as hell in his flashbacks

Maybe something became different over time. Just like how Circe will be able to fight WW regardless of Weasel fighting her.

Good episode, seems like the story is heading into an interesting direction. Only three episodes left, though.

You better believe Gunn is going make his audience empathize with a freaky little guy.

The original plan was for the new DCU actors was for the roles to be played by the same actors across multiple medium types so whos cast in this will be playing them in live action if they crossover. It caused a big stink in VA world.
Wait, did it? I actually must have missed that part.
