According to a (supposedly reliable) scooper, WB Home Entertainment is currently working on a three part Crisis on Infinite Earths animated adaptation, with all animated ''universes'' expected to take part.

Sounds like it could act as a nice finale to the 'DC Universe' DTV line, but I doubt that's the case. I take it the most logical ''Universes'' to include would be any of the following:

    - DCAU (Bruce Timm)
    - DCUAM (James Tucker)
    - Teen Titans/Teen Titans Go!
    - Lukic-verse
    - Young Justice
    - Superfriends?

I do wonder what would be Earth-1 (so to speak)?

Supposedly this guy on twitter announced the Batman '89 and Superman '78 comics about six months before DC officially revealed them, so he has some validity? If true, it'll be interesting to see how it turns out

I would love that. Teen Titans, Teen Titans Go!, and the DCAMU ('New 52-based, kinda') Teen Titans have already crossed over in Teen Titans Go! vs Teen Titans. Given that all these shows/DtV's have solid, established fan-bases this could actually have an emotional weight similar to that of the original CoIE comics. It would need at least three movies to do it properly.

Yes to this. It should be more true to the comics even if they use all animated incarnations. I hope Fleischer Superman is included since he's the first DCU and overall superhero to be animated.

Lol this sounds ridiculous. But I’ll take it.

I haven’t watched Injustice yet. When’s the next Man of Tomorrow-continuity movie?

I really want Superfriends in this. That was such a landmark in my life that I would feel robbed without it.

I dont have a lot of trust in the DC Animated department, but that would be super neat.
Lets wait and see, but with the right budget and time...this could be insane.

I don’t see the point of this, but if folks are excited for it, who am I to be a Debbie Downer?

Wonder if they'd bring in the Batman '66 animated movies. On the one hand it would be cool, but on the other it just wouldn't feel right knowing it wasn't Adam West's voice :csad:

The whole point of the original maxi-series was to destroy the multiverse and create one unified world for the DC Universe.

I can't imagine WB plan to do the same with this. God help them if they did though... the DCAU and Young Justice fans would probably riot. So I imagine they'll use the name for publicity, but have this be a general fun multi-verse hopping adventure (with clear stakes of course).

Can't wait to see how they overinflate Batman's role.

How will they pull it off?

I'm not asking for the wait and see -generally sarcastic- reply, this is merely my instant reaction.

Yep! He played a very minor role in the original Crisis comics saga, but they'll probably actually call this one Batman: Crisis on Infinite Earths! :funny:

Edit: Also, expect Harley Quinn to be front and centre!

They 'seeded' the idea for the original comic didn't they, with vague references to/glimpses of the monitor across most DC titles in the months running up to the event. Perhaps they could do that with any animations that are currently running?

Oh, totally. Batman and Quinn will both probably lay out the Anti-Monitor with nothing more than a well aimed Batarang and a bit of plucky spirit! :oldrazz::whatever:

With the recent news about George Perez, it's a shame he won't be here to see it.

Edit: There'd better be a dedication!

    This is where I'm at.

Do they even have the budget for a movie like this?

If they would do this properly, yes it would need to have a bigger budget.

If they actually make this it will probably look like cheapo still-images. Also its a strange time to do this story, besides the excuse of using multiple versions of characters.

Note: Multiverse stuff is "popular" and done a lot now, but this is something they should have done years ago while reeboting their universes.

I doubt this will be anything fantastic, since the level of these DC Animated films generally are pretty low.

Would they have both Tim Daly and George Newbern as separate Supermen or are they supposed to be one and the same but with a different voice?

And if someone is dead in real life, would they just get a similar-sounding voice actor?

One and the same... although Timm/Romano have said they had no intention of casting a Daly sound-a-like for Justice League, they just went with the best actor and it worked out well.
