There's a lot of young people here. So, I have a question. Cruising may seem old fashioned, like something you'd see on Happy Days. But when I was in high school and college my friends and I did it all the time. When you're low on cash driving around is better than nothing. But with the way the economy is at the moment...is that still being done? It's a waste of gas and there's not much money for it.

Hanging out has taken the place of cruising. I can't speak for High Schoolers but any time I hang out with friends we always just go some place that won't kick us out after 30 minutes of not doing anything (usually a bar or cafe) and then just hang out.

Cruising seems pretty ridiculous to me. It really always has.

I went crusing for like an hour once. Just a waste of time and gas, if you ask me.

Never was a fan of cruising.

1. You get distracted easily.
2. You can't talk to each other because someone wants to listen to music.
3. You can't listen to the music at the proper level because someone wants to talk.
4. You get in an argument with one of your friends because they won't wear a seat belt.
5. You have to push your seat up because all of your friends are gargantuan in stature and you can't drive comfortably.
6. Someone wants to pull into taco bell and wants you to spot them for cash.

I could go on and on why cruising sucks.

Why limit yourself to hot chicks for yelling?

You can yell at everyone you see. Just make whatever you yell hilarious.

I'll give a few bucks for gas when we cruise, it's cool when you got nothing else to do, except when you meet people on the road that pisses off my friends, then it becomes uncomfortable.

This pretty much sums it up.

We cruised around in high school...not in college because there were better things to do. Gas got really expensive there for a while so I am sure that fad is dying.

Well, I go cruising by myself sometimes. It's fun to cut the radio on and relax. Let's me get away from things for a couple hours.

But if I'm with the homeboys, we're looking for a place to hang out, a diner or somewhere to sit down and talk.

Sort of. That week you spent a hundred bucks on books is one where cruising didn't sound like a bad idea.

Yea, it's a good way to collect your thoughts. Although the last time I did it was May 2008.

cruising is a huge habit ive been getting in to recently, i love it. just kinda wandering around aimlessly, going down roads i havent gone down before. it can be pretty alright seeing what you have in town that you havent seen before on a slow night.

We be cruisin lookin' for a bruisin'...hardcore..yo'... :o

Cruising as in...cruising? Or as in just driving around because you're bored?

me and my friends go cruising but for movies, we did it once but someone wanted to get some food

In my town there is the private school and the public school. The public school kids go by the campus of the private school kids and yell the word "Cat *****" at them. Cat Bonering happens so often in my town that when freshman for the private school are at orientation they are warned about being cat bonered. So ya in my town we cruise i guess but we call it cat bonering

Cruising is not a waste of time...I don't think anything in life is a waste of time really if you're the type who sees everything as a learning experience.

The only downfall to cruising I feel is the higher probability of getting a ticket for something in your life...and at this time, gas.

I like to drive around alone for a while...but it has to be places I've never been to before.
