As much as I want to be optimistic, next year isn't here, Cubs won't make it out of the first round, if they do manage to win tomorrow, Zambrano will blow it Sunday, he been sucking at home this year and somewhere along the way the Diamondbacks learned how to hit.

The season wasn't a fluke, we have the players we need, the problem basically the entire team has gone cold at exactly the wrong time, while Arizona is playing beyond their capabilities. That said, I do realize the season/post-season is over, they might be able to pull off a win or two at Wrigley, but they won't win if they series makes it back to Arizona.

That was a knee jerk reaction, most people calmed down shortly afterwards, we were 5 outs away from the World Series for the first time 58 years and after that play everything unraveled, I remember watching that game and once that happened I knew we'd be eliminated, it was the billy goat, black cat and Leon Durham all over again. This year they're no excuses or "supernatural curse" stuff, the team is just playing like $#!t.

Meh, Cubs fans can ***** all they want about how its been 99 years but at least they've had small glimmers of hope in between. Last time the Pirates even had a winning season was 15 years ago. We're tie the record next year. So ***** away Cubs fans but you won't get my pity...atleast you guys have been above .500 within the past two decades. Not to mention at least the media loves you guys enough to allow you to ****e yourself into the spot light. When is the last time you even heard the Pirates mentioned on ESPN if not for a botched play!?!
