Custom Modified RAH Medicom TDK suit

This was my project sometime ago converting the Medicom figure into the realistic costume.

Head widening mod and neck stuffed with foam.

Still finishing up the other hands/trim/finger tips and tweaking the grapple gun.

Though I'll still need to decide on what stand to make for it, still thinking of a MMX DX advanced type of stand with part diorama.

Had to originally put a base coat on the original kevlar parts so the decals would stick better.

With the eyes finished and glossed up. Also toned down the white a bit as most know eyes aren't really pure manga white.

Sitting it in front of the computer display to pick up the glare on the eyes.

It feels like a Hot Toys figure now... once I get a proper stand built for it. I think it'll complete the Hot Toy look give it that premium status.

As you can see the weave pattern detail as you go closer to the figure.

As you can see the carbon kevlar isn't a piercing silver. There's a slight shine to it but only when bright light bounces off it from the window on the edges. Under normal lighting conditions it appears quite neutral matte like.

The way I hoped it turned out with the belt bronze, which it did as you can see better in these pictures also taken yesterday. Under normal lighting it appears like a flat matte gold (previous pictures) but in angled lighting or somewhat shaded/lighting peeking through at it like the real belt from the promo photos you see that gold piercing shine to the edges of the canisters and such. Giving that realistic metal. To me at least it gives the illusion it has weight to it. Not just some floaty bit of plastic hanging there.

This is the first time I have had my custom Medicom side by side with the Hot Toys.

Quickly taken photos. I wanted to see how the kevlar colouring and belt colour faired up.

wow cool. I think the medicom one is much better then hot toys. Especially with your added mods, its kicks its ass. I love what ya did.

So far your medicom mod is better than the Hot toys DX batman. Recent pics of the DX are just... very underwhelming and frankly, quite sucky. I dont know how much hot toys will modify it, but it sure need a bunch.

thats just awesome though. definatly have the best 12 inch TDK bats out there. you sohuld go down the road to make it perfect. add in some more accessories, like sonar lenses, and Bruce head. steal some of hot toys ideas and incorperate them into your better figure.

I agreed the Medicom DK with modifications looks better than the HT DK.
I rather get this one instead of the HT DX just has to find someone to repaint the head for me.
