Anyone else notice that Smallville frequently has spotty audio? From the CW PIX (channel 11) out of NY, it looks like Smallville quite frequently has these blotches of no sound during the episode. Of course, as soon as it gets back to commercial, the commercials have full audio. Does this happen with other local carriers of Smallville?

I heard folks on Ksite mention they have had audio issues for their cw. Its probably due to your cable or satalite provider. I am in western ny and i havent had any problems with episodes. Expect for first episode i didnt have audio for first 10mins.

The episodes are provided by the network basically through a satellite feed, the commercials usually run locally, unless they're in the feed of course (which sometimes happens). So that is why they weren't affected, if it was in fact the feed that was the problem.

It's probably the feed that is the problem since multiple affiliates seemed to have the same issue.

I had a couple of small things, but I thought it was the DirecTV not what the local affiliate was sending to DTV...

:(

Bastards, probably didn't resend the feed because it was too expensive.

Where did you guys have the problems? I'll mention it in my review if it was clearly The CeeDub's fault.

yea for me i am in western ny, but my cw affilate hasnt had any problems since savior. For savior i didnt have audio for the opening tease. But since then episodes have been fine and no problems for me. Same with last season no problems at all.

I have CW Pittsburgh and it was fine.

I'm in nyc and I've had that problem last episode, when jor el was talkin to chloe sound kept dropping off ...so annoying

I'm in Albany, NY and frequently have problems with channel 1815 (the HD CW channel). The video will break apart and loose audio many times to the point where the show is unwatchable. If I switch over to the regular CW channel 15 its usually fine. Time Warner claimes the signal to our house is fine and don't have any idea what the problem is. I've DVR'ed Smallville to show the tech what I am experiencing and he claims to have "never seen anything like that before". At the tail end of last season this problem disappeared mysteriously, but this season its happened a couple of times. The CW is the only channel that this happens with and I only watch Smallville on the CW so I don't know if it happens on other shows. Actually thats not true, I watch Seinfeld and The Office re-runs and it doesn't happen with those.

yea has to be a glitch in either the feed or something else.
