Empire Magazine visited X-men Origins: Wolverine sets and watched the filming of a action-scene in third act where Wolverine invades Stryker's base to release a crowd of young imprisionated mutants. Among them, there's Scott Summers (With bandages covering his eyes, reason why he did not reconized Wolverine when they meet again years later), Emma Frost (Who uses her power to transform in to diamond, as seen in the Comic-Con trailer), among other. With the movie being set 20 years before X-men, they're still teenagers when it happens (I'd bet that it was because of this that Professor X found Scott. It would give a interesting movie, don't'acha think?).

What are your toughts about the idea? Liked it? Hated it? Couldn't care less?

It's a pretty ham-fisted way of throwing in even more cameos. Wolverine has more than a passing resemblance to x3 in that respect.

I like how they sounds and it's pretty much what we all assumed.

I feel like they're trying to make the "X-Men origins" title literal by making Wolverine responsible for bringing together mutants that will become the X-Men.

I think this is all really cool!

Cameos are subtle and don't impact the story very much at all...

What I find weird is that...Marsden was like twenty something while filming the movies...Always thought he was miss-cast and too young!

Yes, but people also complained that the actors cast in their thirties began to look too old.

sounds interesting, i wouldn't mind that at all if they did it correctly, i like the idea of linking all the characters to each other and different stages in their lives.

I think, given Stryker and what we know about him and what he does, I think it makes sense and my god, this is X-MEN. Who cares if it's called Wolverine, but this is still an X-Men movie.

If it were a X-Men comic or cartoon, you'd know there'd be cameos EVERYWHERE and people love them there, so why not in a movie?

I'm all for it....as long as it makes sense!

Exactly mate. It would be so boring if the movie just had Wolverine in it, just interacting with everyday people the whole time, with no mutant cameos.

It's an X-Men movie, some fans need to relax.

Yeah you guys are all right. I don't see whats wrong with a Cameo.
Some people were even freaking out about Stan Lees cameo in The Incredible Hulk. I mean come on! Stan Lee has to have a Cameo!

If Cyclops is a teenager, Gambit must be a teenager too
They are same years old
So in this they seems to be 20 approx ~ they are adults

In X3 we know Xavier takes Jean as a child, if Scott in X-men Origins isnt a Xavier'student yet, Jean is the 1st Xavier's pupil :woot:

True or Stryker could have kidnapped him as a result of Xavier not being able to "cure" his son.

Agreed!

Jean was always the frist pupil as I understood it.

Or Beast could be. And if Cycke is in this, there is no way he is the same age as Gambit.

In comics Gambit is the same age as Cyke right ?

In comics Jean was the 5th.
Like anime wolverine and X-men :oldrazz:

If Scott is a Xavier'student int his movie so effectively Stryker has kidnapped him

So damn true. The cameos sound awesome and fit perfectly.

I see nothing wrong with cameos when they act just like that. It links the whole story but doesn't impede it.

As long as Cyclops doesn't meet Wolverine then I'm fine enough with it. If it's a case that the bandages kept him from recognising Wolverine then it will be kinda cheesy. If another member of Team X helps him get away then that would be a better explanation.

Though I'm reserving full judgement for when I see the whole movie of course.

There were no X-Men films...because all three sucked...

yes, that's what I believe..
