I'm wondering if the "cameos"/artistic license appearances of Cyke and Storm in First Class are meant to be a way to let us know 'Origins' is out of continuity and DOFP and Apocalypse will ignore it.

What do you think?

I think: Storm was cut from the movie, so she's not canon.
Cyke doesn't resemble Cyke at all, so it was just another mutant.

The little girl who looked like Storm in the Origins trailer never appeared in the final movie, whereas the teenage girl who people believe to be Storm DID appear in First Class. Cyclops did appear in Origins, but I have not heard anything about him appearing in First Class.

They were just 'Easter eggs'

Not a very good idea, considering that fans analyse stuff like this to death and they might want to bring in Storm and Cyclops at some point.

I don't think these sorts of Easter eggs are a good thing, to be honest. They just cause problems.

To the OP: You are seriously starting to get ridiculous with this constant 'continuity spamming'.

If you even bothered to do any research whatsoever or pay any attention to official materials or information, you'd realize that the only affect that DoFP's events have on the continuity and chronology of the X-franchise is to create a 'ripple effect' that results in certain events from the previous films occurring later than we were previously told that they did.

Singer has made this about as clear as he possibly could without giving away plot-specific information, and his statements are backed up by the 25moments site and the Official Timeline as it appeared in Empire Magazine.

Wasn't Storm cut from First Class, not Origins ???

Calm down. Your aggressive tone is not good for this forum.
We're here to discuss X-Men.

You keep spamming these threads with ridiculous questions that it wouldn't take more than two seconds' worth of research to find out the correct answers to, and making up nonsensical ideas that are completely at odds with Canonical information that we know about not only DoFP, but the rest of the franchise as well.

That's not discussion; it's trolling.

Wow you made 5 threads today? :wow:

I don't agree with the notion the movie is set 10 years after The Last Stand, why that? It seems to me too much.

Eh... but that is how it is?

Too bad. The First Class cameo is confusing as hell.

That is why she wasn't credited as Storm. If that was actually Storm it would mean that Storm is 44 in The Last Stand.

No, you're the flamer.

I'm discussing these cameos in relationship with DOFP and how these cameos could affect the continuity.

Again, calm down. You're overheating. And it's getting ridiculous. Be positive and constructive.

No, you're the flamer.

Accusing you of trolling isn't flaming.

The very fact that you've made 5 threads in the course of a single day, most of which have to do with the exact same topic in various different forms, just proves my point.

No. I'm just trying to discuss the movies I love. I do not earn any money in opening threads.
Again, you're overheating and twisting the reality of the facts. Please, relax. I'm just a fan discussing my heroes on the forum dedicated to them.

Honestly, when FIRST CLASS came out, I wondered if maybe Xavier/Cerebro could sense Scott and Ororo through time in some capacity...

Good suggestion. But that would make Cerebro way too much powerful I guess. :wow:

I think you could have made a singular thread about the topics and questions you wished to discuss, and if you had a further question put it in that thread. All of these topics are overkill.

Okay.

I just opened a thread on the name "Marvel Girl" and a thread on the box office income of Origins. They are very different topics I think.

Do not worry, I will not post any other thread...

I think they were reffering to "Time lapse between this and The Last Stand" and "I fixed all the inconsistencies. Visit X-Continuity, my new X-Men Timeline site". The "Marvel Girl" topic also falls onder continuity and could also be discussed in the Jean/Cyclops thread. ;)

No hard feelings though...

For me, their appearance in FC were just easter eggs. It was also a miss and blink cameo. So most people could just ignore it easily.

I wrote an excerpt on my site as well. The "Storm" girl was just another black mutant featuring white hair. As simple as that. :yay:

For a SPLIT SECOND I was like "Wait, BLINK had a cameo in FC too?!" then I realized what you meant.

It was an Easter egg. And maybe Vaughn wanted to bring them in much sooner, he already ignored enough about the previous films. It would have been a reboot if they hadn't decided then to make it a prequel instead.

But it was a bad idea for an Easter egg because these things just cause too many problems.
