Cyrus the Virus:Underrated movie villain

I was reading through the thread about cinema's top villains and noticed how few recognized Malkovich's Cyrus the Vyrus one of the best movie villains ever IMO
His cold,cerebral portrayal making Cyrus stand out in a sea of OTT loons and bland suits,
The contempt in which he snaps out lines such as the one he says to Cage's Poe("The last thing your daughter will feel is my hot stinking breath on her neck")made a truly menacing villain in a genre(the summer action movie) which it is hard to find a base to make the villain a remotely credible threat

So anyone else think this is a great villain character and performance ?

I want to see Malkovich and Christopher Walken fight, or at least be two villains opposing each other in a movie, ya know, to see who could be the evilest.

Yeah, he was pretty good at being bad.

But he suffers from being in a pretty crap film.

Con Air is a guilty pleasure of mine, it's mainly down to Malkovich. Awesome villain, had quite a bit of humour in the character but a twisted, intelligent side to him.

[to Cyrus, while holding a gun]

I agree with you 100percent!

And the movie was good. It was a hugely entertaining action film. It wasn't trying to be a oscar pic. Some people will always believe that if a movie doesn't have multiple crying and yelling scenes that it's bad.
