Well, I finally got a scanner in the form of a multifunction (Scanner, Printer, Copier, and Fax all in one. It rules!) and I'm going to post some of my lame drawings on here. I'm aware that my proportions, muscles, etc... need some work, so be specific if you want to point out a criticism.

There's only a couple of images there, so far, but there'll be many more coming soon.

    Just a few comments:

In the Spider-Man one, the billboard in the background is an in-joke advertising a comic strip I do, the Goblin Glider is the kind from the comics, instead of the movie version, and I decided not to go for raised webbing. The webbing on his costume probably doesn't look so great.

The Kyonshi one is older. I did that one earlier in the year, after doing some research about Chinese Hopping Corpses. The shading turned out better in the actual drawing than as it appears there, I think.

Just a heads up, you should try Photobucket or Imageshack for your images, not many people like going to DeviantArt, it's a hassle.

True enough. I'll look them up, spare people some trouble.

Sorry about the DeviantArt thing. Until I can get more images scanned in and hosted by Photobucket or Imageshack, it's the best I've got. :(

The cover I'm doing for a comic my friend writes. The basic premise revolves around a local garage and street racing. It's more comedic in nature than you'd think by looking at the cover. The car pictured is a Fiero, my friend's actual car.

    Another drawing.

Yes, I'm aware his head's messed-up looking, and that his pose is weird (It's a fictional martial arts stance where the hands simulate two cobras striking.). :D I'm still struggling with proportions, so you can probably spot plenty of flaws in my work. I still like this one, though.

alright there are some good stuff in here, but I think the pivtol point that need to be worked on his the head and facial features to make them more human.

Which one in particular shows this to the biggest degree? I HAVE been working on my faces, though. I'll post a more recent drawing within the next day or two to see if it's better. In regards to the ninja's face - he's kind of weird to begin with...sort of a long story.

The cover for the book, most of the faces don't mix well. The Hob Goblin face though, its small true, but still looks to lefty. and the Japenese Character has some glitches.

I liked the Ninja Face, never thought there was something there. When I look at these it looks like you weren't really certain if you liked the way it was or not.:(

Yeah, the faces are kind of mixed for Boy Racer. It's a new kind of style for that comic that I'm experimenting with, so it's not perfected yet.
The Hobgoblin face does look a bit odd, I admit. But I think that overall, it turned out okay. My main problem with that one is how I drew the mid-section of the Hobgoblin - it doesn't seem to really fit the position he's in.
The Kyonshi's arm positioning is unusual, I think. Around the shoulders. You can sort of see that I messed up with drawing that properly.

And I'm kind of uncertain in these drawings. In most cases, these are the first drawings of the characters I've done, so they're not as good as a drawing of the same character after I draw them a few times more. I'll probably do some drawings of the same characters and post them.

Thanks for your comments and criticisms, keep 'em coming! I'll be posting something new soon...

Hey, nice stuff! You seem to have a good handle on perspective, depth, etc...keep at it. I'd like to see some more action drawings with more detailed backgrounds.

Thanks, dude. I'm not at the level of drawing I should be at nowadays, though. I only started drawing again three years ago, after having not done so for six years.
I'll be doing some action drawings in the near future. If you've read the parody written by Agent_Thermal and I, there'll be some characters and scenes from it that I'm going to try and illustrate.

Quick drawing of the main character in a comic I'm working on. I haven't given him an actual "hero name" yet. His powers originate from an engineered virus that was released into his body to alter his DNA and give him characteristics of ants. He gains more abilities as time passes and the virus continues changing his body, but so far he can secrete and spray formic acid from his fingers (Thus, the fingerless gloves.), has super-strength (He can lift around 5 tons.), and is able to "read" some pheromones.
He doesn't have much of a costume, as you can see. Yes, he is wearing jeans (He's not much for running around in spandex pants. He just wears whatever pants he happens to have on.). The lenses on his mask are gold-tinted, the large ant on his chest is orange (As are those two seperate areas on his mask.), the jeans are faded blue, and the shirt is deep, blood red. Shoes are black and non-descript.

Cool character. As for a name, how about "Thorax" (ant's abdomen) or "Fire-Ant" or something like that....?

Thorax is a cool name idea. I'm still researching all these different scientific names for ants and stuff, and researching various aspects of them, so I can come up with a unique name. Thanks for the suggestion.

    The powers of a Ant...lol.

Yeah I wouldn't really like the powers of a Ant, but ok, thats seems cool.

LOL Well, I should say "proportionate" powers of an ant, I guess. It's better than powers of an "aunt", in any case. :D

    You know you're bored when...

By the way, the longer-than-average arms are intentional. I usually draw Carnage with somewhat long arms and large hands.

Hah, the Boy Racer one is funny just cause it's also referring to your friends. And I like the Carnage one. You can always be so creative with a character like him. Try more of a variety of line tones :)

Hey, this is your best yet. If I were to offer criticism on your figure drawing, I would say to try and incorporate musculature into the body istead of adding it afterwards. If you look at the abs on Carnage they look like Michael Keatons glue on foam abs from Batman. When you are 'building' your figure keep in mind all parts and incorporate them as you 'build'.
If none of this makes sense, please ignore me. I'm 3/4 insane.

I definitely need work on muscle structure. At this point, I'm still experimenting with basic shapes to create the human form - which is something I've begun doing earlier this year. Prior to now, I'd basically draw it with all of the detail, starting from the eyes downwards, which was pretty ineffective since I never started with an established figure and just "played it by ear" in a sense.
So forgive my trespasses against anatomy. I'm still an amateur. I'll keep your advice in mind.

As for the line tones with Carnage, I purposely went with a single tone. I kind of wanted it to be a basic-looking drawing, as opposed to my usual shaded ones.

Thanks for the criticisms. I might be a bit delayed in adding more here, because I'm going to be studying for a Math test during most of my drawing time, and I'm also focusing on doing a painting of Spawn for a friend of mine (It's a first. I haven't tried actual painting before.).
