So, I'm flying around the internet, torturing myself as I wait for my DS Lite to come on Sunday by reading up on anything I can about the DS and any great games I might be interested in.

And I came across a game I hadn't heard of until now:

Daigasso! Band Brothers

This game is a rhythm-based game, much like Guitar Hero, DDR, Donkey Konga, etc, where you "play" along with the songs as they play on the screen.

From the videos I've been able to come across there's a GREAT selection of songs that any Nintendo Fan would LOVE! It's got melodey's from Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Pokemon, etc, plus many other great songs.

In addition to that, there seems to be a great Composer mode too, where you can actually create your own music on the game, and it will play them back. Heck, if you don't know how to read music, you can apparently simply whistle into the mic and it will place the notes for you!

I've found a small handfull of videos to help sell me on this game (Youtube is a GODSEND):

Song Mode
Very Simple Song played decently by someone
Great melodey featuring classic Mario, Zelda, DK, etc
Pretty good play-through of some song
Dekaranger Theme
Some song that sounds familiar - Player fails song

Composer Mode
Some song someone programmed
Someone who programmed the Mario 64 Slide Theme!
"Bloody Tears" from Castlevania 2

Well, needless to say, as someone who LOVES Karaoke Revolution, DDR, Guitar Hero, etc etc, I'm getting this. Internet reviews are consitantly calling this one of THE best, if not THE best DS title out there right now. Unfortunately though, it's a Japan-only release, as there's seemingly no plans on bringing it to US.

Soooo....I've purchased my first Import. For just under $50, including FREE SHIPPING, I will have this game on my doorstep within 10 days!

I can't wait!

Has anyone else heard anything about this game before??

:sniff:

Nobody even cares to read my thread :(

Wow, I'm so excited! This game has inspired me to get a Nintendo DS. I feel so inspired by this game. It sound so incredible, it's inspiring.

lol. I'm sensing a bit of sarcasm?

Oh well. Thank you for at least replying. :)

Yeah, I was just mirroring some other guy I ran across from some other forums a while ago overusing the word "inspired" in the wrong sense. But really, the game doesn't sound that bad, but I don't think I'll go through the trouble of importing.
