ahh i see. your sister in college?

No, shes 25 and out of college with a well paying job.

I wish I had an older sibling to buy me things. I only have a little brother, and I'd never buyhim anything.

Youre a bad big brother.:(

Or he has a bad younger brother.

I love Ethan Van Scivers art. Ever since the 'Sex' issue of New X-Men. I still can't find the word in almost half the pages. Anyone know of any websites that have a complete list of where all the hidden words are?

I'm also curious about a supposed inappropriate picture hidden in GL Rebirth.

Thanks, PurpleMan, I love you too. Keep looking.

Any other Superman artist suggestions? It isn't "ass-kissing", I just want to know.

Thanks again.

I don't know. There are so many good Superman artists. Your stuff is pretty strong though. Keep up the good work.

I actually see it the other way, there arent that many artists out there that id call definitive Superman artists. Unlike Batman where you have Jim Lee, Bolland, Neal Adams etc. You can also add Ethan's Batman to the list. yes, im ass kissing.:o

I think there have been quite a few good Superman artists, maybe not a whole bunch of very identifiable artists like with Batman, but still.

thats a good one, rags superman in identity crisis was spot on. i loved the way he towers over his parents. you should try incorprating some of rags supes in yours.

I'm not sure about a "definitive" Superman. I've always been a fan of Alex Ross's Supes. The face detail is great. I'm not a huge fan of Superman, I blame Dark Knight Returns, for being my introduction(outside of Christopher Reeve and Adam West) to the characters of Batman and Superman. I love the Superman/Batman cover. The detail on Batmans cape is impressive.
And you can call it ass-kissing, but massive respect to Ethan VanScriver for his talent, and for having the balls to come to a message board and interact with the fans.

I always think of Jerry Ordway's Superman as the definitive, even though I can actually see his Superman echoed in the artwork already.

My definitive Superman artists have always been Tom Grummet, Dan Jurgens, and Ed McGuinness for his fun but iconic look (I don't like his Batman that much though).

I like Ed McGuinness too. Except for the handkerchief cape he puts on Superman.

I forgot to mention John Byrne too. i loved his original run and MOS, but his modern stuff seems to be too heavy on the ink IMO. I think it's just that his style goes perfectly with the oldschool method of coloring, but it doesn't work that well when the colors and inks are applied all on a computer screen as they're done nowadays.

BTW, Ethan, can you tell me if I was right about the original Parasite coming back? Any hint as to why he's green again?
