Elfman publically canned Raimi after Spiderman 2. Unless they kissed and made up I doubt he'll be back.

That's what I heard.

The music in Harry Potter wasn't all that great in my opinion.

And it would be TERRIBLE if we had something simular for Spider-Man 3.

NO. he did not do HP.

however he hasnt done ANYTHING GOOD.....but hes scoring GHOSTRIDER

yeah i know....

i dont mind him scoring SM3 since everything is pretty much done for him....but GR he cant mess up

it feels like they rushed to get any composer they can........or that none(really good ones) were available, or worse......they got cheap

i think Danny 'ol boy is a genious composer and all...but i've never really cared for his spiderman scores...i've found them to be very disposable...there are no segments of score that really stick out from the rest, like, oh say...the batman theme/score.

i say past the torch onto someone who will actually give us a good new spiderman theme.

now EVERY movie has to have that theme that i dont care about.

i like what x-men did which was have a new composer each time....each one fitting with the tone of the movie,and showing there own themes.

though i think spidey should have the same theme....but i just wish it were better.

it doesnt even have to be humable....

BB was one of the most fantastic scores ever....and its not humable..but its still a theme. same with Hulk....but the hulk theme sucked

I really loved the score from the first two films so I hope SM3 doesn't spoil it. Sony owns the rights to the theme so it will probably be making another appearance in SM3. Never heard of Christopher Young though; I'll guess we'll see if his work compares to Elfman's.
