This is a bit of a dumb question but are they making a daredevil remake/re-boot or are their any rumors of a daredevil remake/re-boot?

Please answer, thanks!:woot:

No, still holding out for the sequel possibility because this time MARVEL won't destroy, hack, and make one of the greatest superhero films come out to look like **** on the big screen.

The true cut is the director's cut. I actually refuse to watch theatrical now, because that is in no way MSJ's film- that's Fox's film through and through.

I was underwhelmed by Daredevil at the cinema... wasn't too bad but was in no way great.

Directors cut is MUCH better though and feels like more of a rounded film as a whole. Should def have been released as the theatrical version.

Hoping for a sequel also.

I think the Director's Cut is one of the best comic book movies ever made. Wait a minute, what was the point of this thread? Oh yeah, remake. A long time ago there were rumblings of a sequel, but I never heard anything about a remake or reboot.

Possibly, when Marvel gets the rights back to the DD characters from Fox.

I hope they hurry up and do something, the Directors cut stands up to any superhero movie, and DD more than deserves a sequel!

DD was a good movie. I did not like Bulleye or Elektra, however.

how long does it take for the rights to revert back? and, was elektra considered a sequel of sorts therefore tying up the rights?

Every time I see the theatrical cut of Daredvil I see missed opportunities. If Fox would've released the Director's cut into theaters, instead of chopping it all up, I think Daredevil could've been a franchise just like Spidey. Spider-man would been like DC's Superman Films, and Daredevil would've been Marvel's version of Batman, more gritty and dark.

I have never seen the Director's Cut. I might have to pick it up and watch it.

The director's cut is one of my favorite films period. There are a few things that are a little too "comic book" (Matt vs. Elektra in the park), but given the source material, I don't see why this is a problem.

The whole thing is very stylized, and I love it. I had hoped (and still do) that Affleck would get his head out of his ass and say yes if they ever get around to a sequel. He may not be one of my favorite people, but he was one hell of a Matt Murdock.

Daredevil was cool.

Elecktra was dumb.

Bullzeye was dumb.

and those are my thoughts on that movie.

nuff said.

I still the the DD DC was one of the best comic book movies made. No remake is needed, just a good sequel, when Marvel gets the rights back. I'm hoping for this atleast. Hopefully with Affleck too.

I got the Director's Cut DVD on the recommendation of someone on the boards here, having not enjoyed the theatrical cut.
I still didn't think much of the new version - same problems with acting, script and direction, along with the awful, awful music. The extra subplot made things marginally better, but certainly didn't elevate it inot the pantheon of great comic-book movies. Pity, cos he's my favourite Marvel character.

DD is such a great character. The DC of the film was better than the theatrical, but I still don't think it would have made a huge difference had it been the one released. (maybe an extra 10% or so, or maybe nothing)

I hope that it reverts back to Marvel soon, and they give it another go sans Affleck.

I'm much rather see another Daredevil film than Ant Man, or even Thor for that matter.

agreed.

The DD with Ben A. was realy bad.
If they make another DD.Get a better actor than Ben A.
No dis to Ben,but he was bad as daredevil.

If handled with respect, I believe that a Daredevil film could be Marvel's BATMAN BEGINS, but even better.

Affleck doesn't deserve half the flack he gets.

Get it? Half the flack? I'm so clever :p .

And then I just died. Not in the good way, either.

Well, Daredevil = Batman in the Marvel character = DC character comparisons, so there ya go.

If they focused on volume 2, and tried to retain some of that style... it would be pretty amazing.

DD could be great he was Marvels version of Batman grim and a loner the film should reflect that and PLEASE create a suit more like the original comics not that crap afleck had to wear!.
