A lot closer than Arrow vs Daredevil.

I am only halfway through DD and I love it, but don't want to vote until I see the rest. The Flash was an amazing show, I absolutely loved it and it turned me into a fan of the character.

Always loved Wally (Justice League) but the show made me a fan of Barry.

curious what the former comparison would have looked like coming out of a super celebrated arrow season vs a super super panned one. Maybe the same maybe different.

I vote for dd. The light hearted camp is edged out by the real worldness of DD.
Plus I enjoy how dd doesn't try and undermine it's internal or established logic at ever turn. I do enjoy the big moments of flash though.

The Flash easily, many reasons but main one been I'm getting bored of dark and gritty.

You said arrow was better than daredevil also. Would you not consider arrow to fall into the "dark and gritty" category?
For what it's worth, I think comparisons like this are a little unfair. A network TV show has so much restrictions and a completely different style of story telling that Netflix shows don't have to deal with. I personally think Daredevil is miles ahead of any other CBM TV show, and so much of that has to do with the mediums in which the content is delivered.

I'm sure he'll be loving dark and gritty again by March.

Arrow does but it's not consumed by it, it still has fun.

I liked Daredevil but Arrow Season Two and the first season of the Flash might just be my favourite superhero in live action anything.

I thought Daredevil got boring quite fast personally.

But each to their own as they say.

I never said I didn't like dark and gritty I simply said I'm tired of it. To much of anything is not good. Next time maybe quote me personally instead of having a sly dig. In any case it's my opinion and I'll like what I want.

I know you said you got tired of it. But you will not be tired by the time BvS: Dawn of Justice comes out. That's fine.

And how about that for a quote?

Who says I won't be? I'm not a 100% sure what to make of this whole Batman vs Superman film, you may have noticed I barely post on here anymore especially in the film section. I may be ready for some dark and gritty come May but right now I'm bored with it.

I'm glad you quoted me direct, just seems you have taken up a problem with me and I have no idea why.

Daredevil's always going to win. It's the best show by miles.

Watched the finale of The Flash again before, so, so good and the feels man, gets my eyes watery a few times and that's just the finale. Brilliant end to a brilliant show. DD is great, but I only have 5 episodes left and so far it hasn't improved since the first few episodes.

It gets better and better. Just you wait and see.

Hope so, I have liked it but feel the first few episodes were the highlight so far, there hasn't been one bad episode though to be fair. But I only remember 1 Flash episode that I didn't find great and that had 10 more. It kept its quality so well throughout a long season.

Daredevil might have the better characterizations and writing, but what puts Flash over the top for me is the sense of fun. It brings out the child out of me that not even a lot of the best comic book movies can do. Not to mention, Daredevil is the only MCU-related property I care about at this point.

They're way too different to compare, I think. But if we have to, DD is the clear winner.

Apples vs. Bananas

How are you liking Kingpin?

I was a little put off at first but then I realised this is Kingpin's origin as well and that is why he isnt the confident and all powerful KP I am used to. He is terrifying when he gets angry though. I like his performance but wish they would have gotten someone bigger than D'Onofrio.

I just binge watched the first 10 episodes of Flash, and really, really like it. It puts a smile on my face. But Daredevil is another level. It is quality filmmaking imo.

Apples vs. Bananas

This pretty much but if i had to choose I'd go with DD. Its not really a fair comparison because its network tv with sci fi elements vs. an ultra realistic Netflix series with no real boundaries on what they can and cant do. The Flash is still by far my favorite show on network television currently while DD is up there with the Nolan films as my favorite comic book adaption ever.

Daredevil in my mind is on its own tier and every other CB TV series is several notches below. Kingpin and Murdock are both fascinating character studies. D'Onofrio and Cox to me are perfect in their respective roles. There are times when you almost understand Fisk's motives and times when you doubt Daredevil's. But Fisk is without a doubt a monster and truly terrifying whereas Murdock is trying to do what is right but has his own struggles. Season 1 is very much an origin story of both. Supporting cast was excellent. Loved Curtis-Hall as Ben Urich.

I watched Season 1 of the Flash and enjoyed it very much up until the episode where Barry travels back in time one day. I thought that episode was amazing. But then it just kept going downhill from there. Absolutely hated the finale so much that I've lost interest in the series. I did enjoy Grant Gustin in the lead role and Cavanagh was also excellent but the writing really suffered towards the end.
