It can stay up if you like. The merch thread is the general discussion of all TDK products; it's easy for something to get lost in there. This forum is more for specific attention on individual products and ensuing discussion. There's no problem with this thread existing, as well as any other focused on a product that likely has been mentioned in the singular thread over in Non-Spoilers.

Of course, if you've already made the decision to abandon this thread, you probably won't read this.

So, for anyone who hasn't seen:

Includes deck of 54 prop replica Joker cards (altered by the Joker, as seen in the film) plus a standard deck, 100 poker chips and 5 dice in an aluminum case!

I really want it for the Joker cards cuz I have no idea how to play poker. I'm willing to learn, but I don't know if I'd be willing to pay $100 just for some cards. Ah, I have till August to think about it.

They need to release the cards by themselves. I can swear that, a while back, I read something like that was going to be offered, but I can't track it down now.

I already have two poker sets that I've received as gifts. I use neither. I know how to play, but I'm too cheap to play on anything resembling a regular basis. CSC (the retailer linked in the first post) has it for around $80, but I can't justify that price tag.

Im hoping for that too, Ive scanned the one that came with the MM figure and have been printing them on cardstock, not that great but decent and I have lots of them to throw around. When I went on TDk ride in NJ last monday I tried to steal some of the props they had laying all over the place, but my GF scolded me and wouldnt allow it.

I thought about doing that with my MM card, but laziness won out. I just placed it in the evidence bag, so it looks like the scene from Begins, and put it with the rest of my stuff. I've got one of the proper cards from the virals though; much superior in quality.

From what I read when I preordered it. It comes with his Joker cards from the movie(the ones that look larger)...it's just as a collectible.

I am an avid poker player (got a game tonight!), so this is right up my alley. Did I preorder one? No - two. Found a place that gave a discount for preordering, so it was a little cheaper. I want the cards, sure, but this is an item I will actually use.

They might be getting a lot of preorders so maybe they want more now to cover themselves or something. I got in at 10% off, and 10% down for two. I think that might be their standard for most items, but I don't know. They were the only ones with a preorder I could find last night. I talked with my local comic store today, and he wouldn't do anything until the catalog comes out in two weeks. Never done business with them before, so I can't tell you how they normally operate.

I think I'll wait until this comes out to see if they're releasing just the deck of Joker cards. I'm almost positive there will be enough poker sets made that I won't have to worry about not getting one. And if I do get one, maybe I'll take a bigger interest into playing poker.
