Just check this out Yes Zachary Quinto fans, Sylar will be returning to Heroes in season two. We still don’t know why there is a little cockroach crawling around when ever Sylar is at his low points though, or do we? Rumors persist that Sylar’s return will include a mentor with a few things in common with Heroes’ brain gobbling baddie.

Access Hollywood confirmed with a rep for Zach Quinto that the actor would be returning next season to reprise his role as bad guy “Sylar.” This shouldn’t come as twoo much of a surprise, however; while Sylar’s hope for becoming the leader of a post-apocalyptic world may have been run through with Hiro’s katana, the ominous villain no doubt has not lost his lust for power.

On the rumor side of things, David Anders of Alias fame is all but confirmed to play the part of next season’s central villain Kane. Kane is apparently over a thousand years old and has a lust for power that is a little more elegant than Sylar. If you believe the word on the streets, the little cockroaches that we see whenever Sylar is in trouble, well they’ve been a little more helpful than we would have ever imagines.

An anonymous source is telling BuddyTV to pay careful attention to the bugs first appearance. Sylar was successfully subdued at the Primatech facility when we first saw a cockroach scamper by, then he wasn’t. In the finale, he was run through and bleeding out and what did we see crawling near the man hold cover where he apparently made his escape? A cockroach. Hmmm. Cause for the suspicion of course.

Aside from the alleged ability to control hordes of insects, a suitably biblical power for a villain named Kane, not much is known about the new character. The good thing is, unlike LOST fans, we’ll only have to wait a few more months to find out.

"Kane". Man, that's one hell of a name for a villain. Wonder if he's gonna be the villain that can "see" Molly? Can't f'n wait

I really hope Kanes power isn't that he turns into a cockroach. Because thats just lame.

Of course that's not his power. I don't think the cockroach has anything to do with this new villain. I believe it's symbolic.

^^agreed.

His power is that he's able to live for thousands of years. Duh!

does anyone know what that means or does it mean Kane Has a biblical power

In the Bible hordes of insects play a role in numerous stories, and in that sense it is a Biblical power. It's suitable because Kane is just another variation of Cain.:o

Holy Schnikies!!!

If this is true, my excitement about Season 2 just increased exponentially!!

As a HUGE fan of "ALIAS", the thought of seeing Sark going and harassing the "Heroes" world excites me to no end!

PLEASE be true, PLEEEEEEEASEEEEEE!

He obviously has multiple powers, including immortality and some sort of telepathic ability (IF he's the guy that can see Molly and IF he can control insects).

I really hope they don't do that whole Cain and Abel thing.

What Abaddon said. And as an added note: In case you didn't know, Cain was the first born son of Adam and Eve who invented murder by killing his own brother Abel over envy after Cain's agricultural offering to "God" was rejected in favor of Abel's animal sacrifice.

yet again I really hope they don't go the whole first real bad guy in the world. That killed his bro and was left immortal.

i've said this b4 when kane was said to be immortal he may a rival of mr. takei's in the show. if elder nakomora's ability is to live forever as it sure as hell looked like after the season finale cliffhanger this year, then they probably know each other

What if Kane is an empath like Peter. The show makes it seem like powers can be repeated, even though we never actually see two people with the same ability. Maybe that's how he lives forever, controls insects, and can "see" Molly.

That is, of course, if he can even do any of those things. Who knows.

Nah, I don't think he's gonna control insects. Could be wrong though :o

But I def think he's the one who can "see" Molly

Wow...

On Cockroaches:

Cockroaches have the ability to survive without heartbeats and brain activity. The doctor gave a long spiel on this when Sylar was out at Primatech and a roach was running by while they proclaimed Sylar dead because he had no heart or brain activity. Sylar knows how things work. Doesn't sound very symbolic to me...

On "Biblical Powers"

I don't know if you've noticed but MOST of the characters on the show have biblical names, I don't know why this particular one would all of a sudden have a biblical power? Do we see Noah parting the Red Sea or Micah turning water into blood?

On Kane's Powers

Everyone on Heroes has one power. Every single one. There's a pattern of how powers come based on situation and personality... that pattern only allows for one power... some with many applications, but always ONE power. If Kane is over a thousand years old, either his power

On Kane seeing Molly

Now that's just shortsighted. No one said that Molly's evil person even has to be a villain, much less the main villain for Season 2... and furthermore, we know what Kane's power is, so unless theres some sort of power that lets you "see" people AND lets you live forever, then obviously it's not Kane.

On Sylar being a villain next season

An assumption that has yet to be confirmed. There's nothing saying Sylar will be a baddie, have his memory OR be mentored by Kane. Not even a rumor... it's an assumption, and I believe it to be false.

On David Anders

This will be great. :)

He better have Peter's power. That's pretty much the only way one guy can be such a threat to every Hero.

Maybe thats the thing - he isnt a Japanese figure at all. Maybe he is a time manipulator of sorts and ended up in 17th century Japan and started the legend, but because no one ever saw his face they always assumed he was Japanese. Could be interesting.

Whats the Kane thing then? Cos three quarters of this page is talking about Anders being Kane, but now we know him to be Takezo Kensei
