I think David said the studio he was with was changing the date away from 04/20 so he pulled it so he could do it himself. That's why he's promoting the thing bigtime with his friends now.

WIN THE VAN THAT APPEARS IN THE MOVIE!
I must be crazy! We are now in New Orleans our 4th stop on the tour and it has been a kick ass experience. Thank you to all of the kind people that came out to meet The Tripper Tour and I look forward to meeting each and every one of you along the way. Since we are self-distributing it is up to you to call your local theaters and request the film. The big chains are having a hard time getting the film, go figure, they are scared of the fact that a mad man dressed as Ronald Reagan is killing hippies on drugs but then again they don't even know what 4-20 means.

That aside it really has been the coolest thing meeting the fans and shaking hands with all of the weirdos of the world. We have been posting clips from the trip so please check them out and become part of the show by meeting us on the road.

I am looking for THE ULTIMATE TRIPPER to win the van that appeared in the movie. What I need you to do is follow the tour schedule and meet up with the crew in the craziest costume or have the craziest attitude. We will film you and at the release party if someone is worthy of being THE ULTIMATE TRIPPER (which I pick) they will win the van. I own the van and this isn't a official contest but it is a real 1968 Ford Econoline van and I will be giving it away. So please tell all your friends and come and meet us. Thank you. DA

he may very well be a cool dude, but i dont know him personally. so i can only judge him by the work i've seen from him so far, which has been less than pleasant. i will give him points though for not only making a horror film, but a horror film about a right wing maniac killing hippies....i gotta admit, thats pretty golden, and im sad i didnt think of it first.
