MTV asked David Goyer about BATMAN 3 in the wake of Gary Oldman's comments at Comic Con on Friday. Here's what he had to say:

"Right now, Chris is involved in filming INCEPTION, and when he finishes that, he will turn his studious gaze back to the Bat universe and we'll see."

What does that mean? Nothing. David knows exactly what's going on, he's just not saying anything.

The bottom line is -- like BOF has been saying -- once Chris is done with INCEPTION, he'll then turn his focus to BATMAN 3.

It's just a guess right now, if he'll turn his focus to B3 right after Inception

Umm... I think just about everyone has been saying that, and it didn't originate at BOF, it's just common sense.

At least they are saing he will turn his focus on batman 3

This topic should have been "David Goyer does not Talk Batman 3."

Any and all news is good news. Especially that Oldman slip up.

Best news EVER to wake up to.

:lmao: PLEASE BE REAL was my thoughts exactly.

hahahahahaha thats the ultimate video for any batman 3 rumor!

1,800 post!!! woot!

I have Goyer's draft of BB and it is EXTREMELY differerent from the way the movie turned out. Obviously Nolan has a lot of say in how the script turns out. It would be fine with me if Goyer had nothing to do with the next film..

lol i love how he repeats that, like hes the only one that knows anything or even thinks of stuff like that. guy is full of himself.

Can you tell us some of the diferences in the BB original story???

No don't tell Piuchén, instead send us the script on MP :p

If i am not mistaken, Goyer is Nolan's guide to the bat comics. He suggests issues and stories for him to consider, and advises him on his choices. Nolan isnt a batfan and he needs one for advice. Also, again if i am not mistaken, Nolan wanted a batman without a cape or grapple gun because he thought it would be cheesy and goyer convinced him otherwise.

Other than that, yes goyer's one liners were horrible, as was the way he wanted Ras to die, screaming as the train was derailing. Thank god they changed that.

So all i am saying is that he is not all bad...

^^^Goyer suggested that The Joker should be based off on his first two appearances in the comics.

The one-liners were OK but they get too much criticism, IMO.

Ok, I'll give it to him, I appreciate his story suggestions, but the guy can't write dialogue. I think Nolan can be credited with grounding these characters in reality regarding their actions and words. Goyer creates characatures.

I might have come down on Goyer a little hard in my last post, it was 1am and I was not of "sound mind." HA. Piuchen, I dont have the script on me now, but when I get back home I'll be sure to point out my observations..

Why so much hate on Goyer?

I'm Batman, nice coat btw.

I agree. It has been helpful that he had suggested guidelines for the plot. But he shouldn't write.

That said, it's not like nobody else would have stopped Nolan from a capeless Batman. (And btw, have you noticed Samm Hamm thought about having a capeless Batman too?)

If any of you think that Nolan doesnt have a rough draft of a script and storyline already developed and WB is doing site visits, you are living in a bubble.

Nolan was probably making notes for BB3 while they were shooting TDK. Once he wraps up Inception, the studio will have the cast, set, and army of stage hands ready to deploy.

The BB3 train has already left the station and is beginning its journey to completion. We just dont know anything about it- yet. :brucebat:

What was the draft like?

Who is Samm Hamm (damn that's a lot of "m"s)?

As for the "nice coat", i liked it. I found it funny, but the moment was sooooo inappropriate. It was Batman's first appearence, the moment he first said his name and BOOM "nice coat".
I wouldnt have minded if it happened later on.

I dont think that Nolan was working on TDK during BB. I do know that Hugh Jackman stated that during the shooting for The Prestige, Nolan and Bale would take a break every day to discuss TDK. Obviously it was in pre-production during The Prestige's production.
