And now? Something that may be inspired by the utter success of new television show Gotham in telling pre-Batman stories and getting an audience familiar with tales to come and teasing them on a weekly basis.

1) Krypton is a much better idea for a prequel series than Gotham.

2) Goyer's involvement = meh.

3) I hope prequel series don't become a thing. SV was more than enough.

Assuming its true...this is a fantastic idea. There's nothing else on television quite like this, and it would quite likely be a hit with the HUNGER GAMES/DIVERGENT/MAZE RUNNER crowd given the societal elements of Krypton.

The novel THE LAST DAYS OF KRYPTON has made me want something like this for a long, long time.

Young Jor-El, Lara, Zod and the politics and cultural elements of Krypton before its demise? Yes, please.

Besides just showing Zod, Jor-El, etc., this would also be a good way to explore some of the cosmic elements to the DC universe.

This is exactly what I wanted. EXACTLY! When I was watching MOS, I was literally sitting there thinking that this would make a great TV series. **** yeah! I can't wait for this. I hope this is on HBO, and I hope it expands out and shows the Kryptonians setting out throughout the universe.

Looks like we'll get a TV show that is connected to the movie verse.

If it's anything like Gotham at all, kill it with fire. I've never done such a quick 180 from totally hyped to bitter disappointment.

I dug the Krypton scenes in general in MoS but I thought they were a bit out of place within the greater context of the movie. Like, they should have been a lot shorter.

What the hell, it's gotta be better than Smallville. Will watch if it comes to pass, at least five episodes.

Amen to that. Donner's Krypton was great in its day but I've had my fill of it. I thoroughly enjoyed Snyder's Krypton and would like to see that universe expanded. Or they could do something different and I'd be fine with that too. But no ****ing crystals.

I wonder how far it will go back. I remember Russell Crowe saying he wanted to be in a Krypton prequel, so maybe it goes as far back Jor-El? But if it stops at Jor-El, then they miss the spacey goodness from when Krypton used to set out and settle on planets. If they do go that far back, this could be a great way to explore the expanded DCU. Some characters that may not make it to the movies, or maybe even some that do make it to the movies. Since Goyer is behind it, we could presumably have movie characters show up like Darkseid or MMH. That is, if we get the space expansion part of Krypton's past.

We could even get some scenes that explain what happened to those Kryptonians that Zod found. It looked like some **** went down.

Honestly, this would be my most anticipated CB show. Fingers crossed this is on Showtime, Starz or HBO.

Seriously this. You asked for a connected tv universe, what better way to start one than with the guy writing the freaking movies. We'll be sure to get some connected goodness in this one.

With the kind of budget requirement a Krypton show would need, it'd have to be HBO. So maybe?

We definitely need a sector 2813 Green Lantern and some Thanagarians to appear on this show if it happens.

Also the fact I knew what GL Sector Krypton is from memory is really sad.
