Hi guys,

I send you a link where you can watch a teaser Based on Marvel’s Character Punisher that I produced and directed.

In fact, ,I ‘m in competition to direct “The Punisher 2” for Lion’s Gate (I have a representative in LA )In order to get a chance I produced and directed a teaser about my vision of this character.

…and they should have take Walter Hill, he made greats films !

David is a French filmmaker who made many years ago a nice fan film on Daredevil, years before the Ben Affleck movie and more recently a Hulk one.
All his stuff is shot on film and really professionally made.
The Punisher one is very good. The Hi-Def version seems to have some problem with sound, so download the lo-def version.

managed to sort out the link issues, a few comments:

There is no indication of how the actual action would be handled much, more importantly, how the slightly less stylistic scenes would be shot, the scenes which people consider the dull points of films, these are the most important, too many directors rely on money shots, rather than consistent style and flow.

No offence, but the content here was quite basic and to be honest, could have been made by anyone with a decent camera, I feel it lacks anything to set it apart from other fan flicks, apart from production values. Sorry.

David did Lionsgate tell you if Punisher 2 was a direct to dvd movie or PG-13?

IT was majority me who was talking during our conference call. I could understand that they know that the first one Punisher was not good (they asked me what I was thinking about...). but I guess Lion's Gate want a PG -13 and not a direct to dvd. it 's why they want to go with someone who has more films under their belt. it's a pity. I will have work a lot to offer a good Punisher movie with a real vision about this character, not just a actionner movie.
but I know that they really like me teaser, with is horror aspect.

Cool trailer teaser. It's too bad Lionsgate wants to make a Punisher lite movie. Thank you David!

I still think, no matter what, if at all possible, David should go ahead with his own Punisher film, even if it is straight to dvd. I'd endorse that puppy 100%. I've seen cases where theatrical releases coincided with television releases of the same material, and rivaled it. In my honest opinion, David is one of the very few in a position above the rest of competence and capability to pull this thing off in direct accordance to the comic character. That Punisher teaser short he did resonated on the same emotional frequency I get when I read the comics. Voice, mood/tone, bluntness, dark, and he even used the best of all the skulls. (I'd love to have me a Larosa style skull T like that.)

I wll be ok for a staight to dvd but it's not depend to me because only LG have the license for Punisher Movies.

It means I thought it was awful if that is what the sequel is going to be like.

There are slight changes that need to be made, but the point is that it's on the right track. I'm sure that the combination of Tom Jane, a GOOD script writer, and Mr. Sarrio could make it true to the comics and less of a suicide mission.

There are slight changes that need to be made, but the point is that it's on the right track. I'm sure that the combination of Tom Jane, a GOOD script writer, and Mr. Sarrio could make it true to the comics and less of a suicide mission.

The thing is I loved the first script minus a few little things. It was an origin film so I was looking forward to the sequel kicking off where the first left off. The last gunfight scene was 100% Punisher....Hensleigh and Jane nailed it. Oh well guess there is a slim chance of getting a sequel on that level again.

PG-13 for the Punisher? Hell to he no!!!

Now I hope the sequel doesn't get made. Punisher is an R character. That teaser shows a really good understading of the character. I wish a sequel would cover more of these aspects of the character.

That was a pretty good trailer David but it just felt a little off. I guess after associating Jane with The Punisher for so long I just have a tough time seeing someone else as Frank Castle. For what it was, it was a good trailer but without seeing Jane as Punisher, it really doesn't work for me.
